I still swear by my deathadder but it's usb, I don't use anything but low budget wireless mouses as far as that goes and most of those have lasted me about a year or two which isn't too bad considering they were like 20 bucks. I use a crappy wireless microsoft keyboard cost me 20 bucks and i've had this one for about 3 or 4 years now and it still works perfectly with several months of battery life off two triple a's.

I know it's out of your price range, but the Logitech G9X is my favourite mouse ever.

I'd usually go for logitech, but this is a good alternative since logitech's wireless mice either only have three buttons or are 100$.
Oh yeah, and I haven't actually used any gigabyte HID's so I STRONGLY RECCOMEND this button

Neither was I, hence the

but it's specs seem to be exactly what he's looking for at a price that goes nicely with his budget.

I've had my Sony VAIO for a year now, but I can vouch that they do pack good hardware in them. It was $900, and it came with a Radeon Mobility 4850, 2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, 500GB HDD, Windows 7 64 bit, HDMI Output, and a 16.4" screen (1600x900 Native resolution).
I love it more than twinkies.

I'm assuming that the other laptop won't come back in stock as it was refurbished-only, but I don't really know how newegg works.
