Well worth the extra 100$. Asus makes among the best machines on the market right now.
The 310 m is roughly half the power of a Geforce GTS 8600.
And the i5 processor is a good gaming chip.

ASUS is quality, and I think they have two year warranty on their laptops, and the first year covers accidental damage too, so if you're chugging down some delicious maple syrup and happen to drop some on your laptop, it's all good

Not to derail this thread but I'm reminded of how my dad once gave some maple syrup to a friend of his who lived in Europe. The friend, who had never seen maple syrup before, assumed that you were supposed to drink it. Needless to say, he never wants to go near maple syrup again.

alright, going with the ASUS, thanks OZA

now for mice:
i used to have a bluetooth mouse that was okay, but this new laptop doesn't have a bluetooth received. Any suggestions on good mice? Preferably wireless, as I don't care too much about being a hyper-pro gamer, and honestly I don't notice much lag. I'd like to keep it in the $30-$40 range, and get some long-term usage out of it (old mouse lasted 3 years and was running strong)
