You know, trolling is a subtle art. It is not in the amount insults you can pack into an end game all talk sequence, nor is it yelling so that no one else can be heard. It has cadence and flow with a snippet of irony. If you, the troll, are insulting a player with less points, it just makes you look like the douche that you are. Clearly, why would a superior player need the ego-stroking of putting down an inferior one (unless said former player is actually slightly insecure). Could it be that the superior player only pits themselves against players they know they can beat? Have they reached a point where their peers possess powerful skills and the troll simply can't compete? Or is the next level just buried, slightly latent, and within reach after a sedative?

Maybe it's none of this at all, and in truth, I am trolling all the same with a concurrent level of success; that is to say, none.

Just some food for thought...all you halfwitstupidchickenfuckingassbastardwhoremongers...

Edit: Incidentally enough, I am actually referring to the in-game antics of some players. We have some good, fair play trolls, and some atrociously juvenile dunderheads that give trolling a bad name. I wasn't even thinking about forum trolls...that's a whole 'nother ball-game; I'll leave that to you professionals.

Hi, I'm a regular on the source op TF2 24/7 2fort server. The classes I play are scout, pyro, demo, and sniper. But my main class is scout, my best class.

So yeah, HI!

Edit: And I'm not one of the people that care about stats, i will usually if bored go on melee rampages with the heavy Big Grin

So I recently found out how to look up global hlstatsx and noticed just how many familiar names are on the top 50.

Also I sometimes have a lot of free time at work, so this is what I came up with:

1. SPAM - GR :demo
3. Vicious - VM 1+2 Confusedoldier
4. Sups - GR :demo
5. 3h - GR :demo
6. Mr. Boo - VM 1+2 :demo
9. {Everyone Kill} Weezy - GR :demo
12 [92B] Simo - ? Confusedniper
14 Primo_IT - GR :engineer
16 Plush - VM 2 :demo
17 Isuxdix - VM 1+2 :demo
18 [CoW] Wieks - VM 2 Confusedoldier

It's seasonal so it's only the points from the past few weeks or something.

14/50 = 28.0% of the top50
13/30 = 43.3% of the top30
11/20 = 55.0% of the top20
6/10 = 60.0% of the top10
4/5 = 80.0% of the top5

This is from just three servers out of however many hundred that use hlstatsx and these are just the names I recognize 8O.

What I find most impressive Vicious as a soldier, Primo_IT as engie, Simo as sniper, and H2O schwarz only playing on Valve Maps 1 to get the amount of points they do.
I think most people need to go demo on VM2 and Goldrush when there are a bunch of shitty players or teams are super stacked in order to get a bunch of points.

I know I'm noobish around here, but I can't help noticing that in almost all of the posts I read, inevitably, Hell-met and OmegaZero_Alpha have at it.

I've played when Hell-met is on and he seems to be a team player, but I don't know him other than that. I've never noticed if Omega is on when I play, so I can't comment on him.

Maybe I just haven't lurked enough to know what's going on.

We could start a pool to see how many posts a topic can get before the next slugfest begins...

Any takers?
