ok, so in early december there was all this hype going up about the tournament, i have seen nothing for a long time about it. What happened? are we still having it? I know frost got his internet pulled out from under him, but does this really hinder the entire tournament? or will it go on?
btw...mass punctuation ftw i know

So, I need a bit of help. I'm trying to find a replacement power supply for my LCD monitors.
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but it has happened to both of our old LCD monitors. One day you wake up and the on/off button just flickers and flashes. Then the monitor won't come on.
Pushing the on/off button over and over again works for a bit and then it just dies completely.
After searching for a long time I got boat loads of "just buy a new monitor" or "use the warranty" well I'm here to say, no shit Sherlock. If I had the money I'd do that but I don't so I need to know how to repair it.
Then I found a few posts that were saying that the power supply boards in the monitors start to go out after a few years.
So if this is the case, where the hell can I buy a new power supply board? There has to be a parts manufacturer somewhere on the internet and I need help finding them.
Also, any suggestions on the subject in general would be most appreciated.

Valve announced that they are doing the scout update next and they said that they wanted him to not be affective against sentries so my first idea is:
A BASEBALL
This is a weapon that can be used to destroy sentries, but replaces the pistol. This will be useful because I hate sentries and the pistol, and the scout has a baseballbat so if you can take out your baseball and shoot it at your bat you can kill a sentry.
my second idea is
A nailgun.
they removed it because it was unbalanced and could easily destroy sentries at long distances, so they must want to give it back as an unlockable.
my third weapon is:
Some stupid shit.
It can be a gravity gun or some shit that will steal the opponent's weapons, that you can use yourself or shoot it to instantly destroy sentries.
a other ideas are:
A laser gun.
To melt sentries
An emp grenade.
It will disable sentry guns so I can destroy them, lol.
a baseball
holy shit, this is original.
A pill that turns you into the guy from counterstrike so you can headshot people and win!
YAY!
A fucking pack of bubblegum to destroy sentries
MORE SHIT-FUCKING BASEBALLS THAT HURT SENTRIES. WHY IN THE FUCK!?!? THIS IS WHY WE HAVE A FUCKING SANDWICH AND A GUN THAT SLOWS PEOPLE DOWN!!!

Been browsing through some custom covers as of late for some old retro PS1 games of mine to use and print out.

when i noticed something out of the ordinary.

Yea. Just thought it was funny, thought i'd share.

This is what I think is a very obvious cheater. Obviously, I can't provide sufficient evidence through a demo because the servers do not allow spectating (if there is another way to record a demo, please inform me). What I noticed was this player consistently headshotting multiple players on the 24/7 2fort [NO MODS] [NO BS] server. I've seen him there before and I've been suspicious of his actions since the first night I saw him playing. I do not suspect aimbotting, but "mathacking", which means he uses "legal" player models that show up through walls. These can not be detected by VAC and they've been used ever since the Source engine came out in multiple Source games.
I will recount my experiences with this player:
- Consistent headshots and bodyshots when you can barely see him (IE, you just barely see his hand or gun barrel pop out as a sniper, yet he shoots you before you can even line a shot on him)
- Constant laser site following your every movement. I notice he will purposely track enemy snipers. I would show myself on, for example, the upper left side of 2fort as either team (assuming you are facing the enemy side), and his laser would be locked on the wall as long as you stood, and if you backed off into the hallway it would "check" other spots. I would constantly change positions and his laser would follow it, locking on to the wall at a "head level", the very nanosecond I step out, I would get a headshot from him.
- When he plays other classes, he seems to just "know" when players are in certain spots. I would be sniping in any given corner of 2fort, and he would be rocket spamming my location CONSTANTLY (more than a few 4 rocket reloads on me while I was hiding behind cover), yet when I backed off behind more in-depth cover, he would stop because I assume his mathack didn't go through multiple walls. I've been killed by his pre-empted rocket spam even though I NEVER showed myself, he would just know I was there, this happened from multiple angles at multiple areas of the map.
- He mostly plays sniper on the 24/7 2fort [NO MODS] [NO BS] Server. I have very rarely seen him on other SourceOP servers.
- My main concern of this player is not that he has fast reflexes or experience in TF2, but that due to the built-in sniper laser site, you can obviously see that he knows when players are closely behind cover...he will not remove his laser from the "head level" unless you back away. He will, sometimes, bounce his laser around from point-to-point, but only as a means to cover his mathacks...he goes right back to your location in under a second or two because he knows you are hiding there.
Is he just "good"? I don't know. I've never seen any player, even prominent league players, having the ability to track people the way he does. If you know this player, you can either vouche for him or agree with me. He seems uncanny, yet I've never heard of him in any big league TF2 games. Everytime I do a pre-aim while strafing out on 2fort, he knows I am there...and he knows the same of other players. It doesn't matter which corner I choose. I've tried going under the cover of other players on my team and he will always single me (or other snipers) out first. I've allowed heavies and soldiers to go out before, and he will NOT fire on them, but will wait until the enemy sniper comes out before he shoots (again, as I said, he will headshot you within a split second almost every time, but he does sometimes miss shots or hit your body, which makes me think he does NOT aimbot).
Honestly, if this is a regular on SourceOP, I would like to see replies with demos of him. If nobody has any, I implore any admins here to RCON spec him and keep it subtle so he does not know. I am quite positive this player is using mathacks, but nothing that VAC is able to detect. I've seen mathacking before, it's nothing but wallhacks which work via player model editing, thus are not VAC detectable. You just need a good eye in spectator mode to detect them.
Now, I called him out several times on many different nights about this. He never once responded, but I did get a few other players agreeing with me that he was making pretty unrealistic shots. I can't take demos on the SourceOP servers, and screenshots would not be able to prove anything like this.
The bottom line is that I personally believe this player is very fishy. He never responds to any text directed to him, he just stays quiet as he makes extremely insane shots. Sometimes I've seen him headshot me and other people through very very narrows cracks that, openings which would require the knowledge that an enemy was ALREADY walking toward it in which to make such shots.
You can call me a bluffer or a noob or...whatever. Make your own opinions of this. If you know him and can vouche for him...provide me with legitimates demos of him. If nobody can, then I am requesting RCON spec of this player in the future.
Thank you. If you want anymore information about me or have questions about my pled case, just respond with them and I will try my best to accomodate. I know this is a lengthy post, I just wanted to put all of my evidence here.
To summarize: I believe the aformentioned player is using material hacks or "mathacks", which means he installs player models which become visible through walls. They are not VAC detectable and never will be unless Valve completely disables custom player and weapon models.
NOTE: "Mathacks" are disabled by any server with sv_pure 2 enabled. :?:

Some retard was spamming about a bunch of people speed hacking while i was playing around noon today... i replied about how there is a number of people with high pings and how that causes people to stutter and move weird. a few minutes later i was banned for speed hacking... did my comment associate me with whoever he was talking about or what? they never said i was doing it either.
how does that work though? they report and your admins just ban cause someone said so? i've never used a hack and never will, it ruins the game.
normally i wouldnt care and move on to another server, but your servers are one of a few good, low ping, ones that i can still play from this computer so if you dont mind, could you please un-ban my account?
thanks
oh and here's your ban report if you need it: http://sourceop.com/modules.php?name=SOP...ils&id=484

FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCKERS.
God dammit they pop up at the last second on a house that looks good and you are about to put an offer on to say, "oh, by the way, you need to tack on $6,000 for the termite damage that 'we' repaired. And we're not going to accept any offers of additional closing costs either"
Fuck you.
Fuck your dog.
Fuck your mother.
Fuck your mother's dog.
There is a special place in hell reserved for you dirty fuckers who aren't straight with legitimate buyers who want to get into their first home.
Whores.

Yay you're awsome!

Recently I decided to take a break from Team Fortress 2 as a way of regaining interest in the game and give myself time to get my driver's license.
Despite the upcoming scout update I had been eager to see since class changes were first announced, I do not believe I will be hanging around to test out any new toys when they finally roll out. This could be a product of boredom, some deep seeded psychological programing that wants me to seek higher education, the well water I drink perhaps contained mercury, the wall candy wasn't as healthy as I thought, or possibly I've developed an immunity to my pills. At this point I can't tell.
What I do know is the likelihood that I'll return has dropped considerably as I glance at the gifts I recieved before the new year and will probably drop gradually as new games catch my interest.
It has been fun, and there is always the chance I relapse like we all know Robert Downey Jr. will in a year or so. In the off chance it doesn't happen, its been fun playing with most of you.
