I wish to dual boot windows 7 with my windows xp, i'd like to test out the os and see how it performs on this crap rig.

Doing so requires that I partition my hdd and installing win7 requires that I boot from the dvd that i burned the iso from.

My issue is that I cannot boot from the dvd because, i possess only an external usb drive.

BIOS does not have the option to boot from the external usb dvd.

is there any way to trick the bios to boot from another source and have it redirect to the external usb dvd drive? if so is there a step by step way of doing it?

I am staying away from vmware , because this machine sucks too much to do that.

I have a winxp sp3, dell dimension 2400, phoenix bios, 1 gig of ram.

I have been hearing all of this shit since I was in grade school, a bunch of idiots trying to tell me that the world is going to be destroyed.

This was supposed to happen in 6/6/06, too, remember.
and I sure miss computers since they all destroyed themselves for no reason back in 2000

Hello,

I got an autoban earlier today for joinclass spam. I was frustrated and spammed the class key while waiting for respawn. I had no idea this would get me banned.

I didn't think too much about the ban, I just hopped over to your instaspawn server and played there for a bit. Figured I'd go back to the NO MODS NO BS server when the ban expired.

Anyhow, a few minutes ago I decided to hop onto the instaspawn TF2 server and found that the ban had propagated there as well as your other servers. I don't have a lot of servers that I play on so this leaves me rather short of places to play.

I'd like to ask if you could please lift the ban. If you can't I undertand and will just wait it out and be back when it expires.

I have a 2nd Gen iPod nano (yeah yeah, time to upgrade) that will not turn on. I have tried everything apple support says but I believe it's the battery or power supply or whatever is in this mysterious device. It WILL however, turn on and play just fine when connected to any power supply suitable for an iPod. I'm sure you have seen a solar calculator before, well, when you unplug the iPod from its power source it does the same thing that would happen if you blocked the calcs little solar panel. The screen just slowly fades away.

Any insider tech things I can do?

(btw, I am fairly savvy with small electronics so if I have to take it apart to replace the PSU or battery that would be no problem. I would just need to be pointed in the right direction.)

I was wondering if anyone out here on the interweb could help me figure out my problem.

i play a build server on hl2dm quit often and want to attach an entity to a prop. say for instance I want to attach a point_tesla to a melon with the tesla only going off when the melon is punted or broken, can someone give me an example of how to do this. thanks a bunch

This morning when I logged on, Steam updated. Since then, whenever someone takes the intel, I hear the warning but the icon at the bottom does not change. Other people in the game mentioned this as well. Typically, the briefcase icon turns to a "!" when the intel is snatched, but it no longer does that or even show a down arrow.

I don't know if this is a Steam thing or SourceOp, as I have only played on the SourceOp server today. Just a heads up...
