Can someone provide me links to a site which works to downloading HLDS please?

My guild isnt working for world of warcraft and i want to get my site going. So im thinking of making a SourceOP server or a AdminOP server. It wont be 24/7 but it will be something to get us going again.

Im short on time on searching but almost all sites with HLDS is blocked or doesnt work when im at school. And I get almost no time at all at home for looking around.

When I try to do fast nade/gravity gun change while jetpacking, it drops

me from the server 100% of the time. I hope you know what I meant by

fast nade/gravity gun change. You throw a nade and before it leaves

any further, you switch your weapon to gravity gun and grab it.

It works fine when I do it on the ground, but when I do it in the air

jetpacking, it causes a problem. Anyway, I was just wondering if that's

just me having the problem.

When you are on a killing streak, the server plays certain wav files

such as dominating! or monster kill! or ultra kill!

Already a lot of servers are using this feature and I just think

that it would be cool to hear it in sourceop too.

If a player types a word "jetpack" and "?" in one sentence,

the server will automatically bring up an instructions menu on how to

bind the jetpack to the player


OR


a player types help or setting in game and the server asks the player

to press esc to open up an outside of game menu that will very easily

help him configure jetpack and whatnot.

Roll The Dice would add a lot of fun to the already fun server I think.

It randomly drugs, blinds, burns, freezes, slaps, slays, and whatnot the

players who type roll the dice in game. Similar to counter-strike plugin.

Just a thought :roll:

AFAIK, this is a really simpe thing to accomplish, and it would be a pretty cool feature. think about it, your having a really slow time in a game and you feel like talking to somebody other than people that your in a game with: *CLICK* your on ADMINOP's officiall irc room

it would also be good because if your just starting on SOURCEOP than you can easilly log on to the irc room for help with a function, it would significantly reduce repeated questions in the forums, too.

another good thing about this is that IRC doesnt use up barely andy bandwidth, so it wouldnt lower the ping of the server's players.

another feature you could add to this is put up a TV screen or computer monitor that displays the chat room ingame (seperate from the GUI).

another cool idea would be to build ingame controls for winamp so you would have to comprimise your game with the buttons on your keyboard or minimize your window to change the song.

SADLY, i got these ideas from a video game "hack" for natural selection that i used just for those two features...

the inceccant ammount of racism spewing out of the mouths of people on counter-strike is unbearable.

i was playing on a local server in counter strike when all of a sudden somebody said that he pwned jews, i thought he might have been joking but than he said that jews suck and that jews should stop camping.

this infuriated me! why couldnt jewish people enjoy the benefeits of sleeping in a forest, enjoying the wilderness on a local lake?

and they couldnt even spall "jew" they were all spouting crap like "I PWN JOOS", cant they even spell it right if they are going to be racist! they need to be banned for being such blatant assholes...
