Coming from somebody who almost tried to run a retail store you are pretty fucked if you try to match their prices.
Most online places don't pay for the products until they are actually sold, and as computer parts can lose more than 50% of their value in less than a year you need to get as much money out of them as you can as soon as they come out, and dropping prices is a huge loss, and you only sell one or two internal parts per week so you really don't have any bargaining room.

Quick newb question.(Me, posting a newb question? pfffft!) My power supply is 550W. Is that sufficient power? I checked the specs for the card above on Newegg.ca but it did not mention what the minimum power requirements were.

It takes about 300 watts at load so it really depends on what other parts you have.

Just got my new vid card today but I won't be able to install until later this week as I'm too busy right now. Interestingly, the box said a 550W min PSU is required. Which is what I have. Now is that PSU powerful enough for my ENTIRE computer or JUST the vid card?
hmmmm.... The fine print down here says...."Minimum system power requirement based on a PC configured with an Intel i7 3.2 Ghz CPU"...
I'm still chugging along with my Q6600 Intel Core 2 Quad.
My old PSU was a 250 W w/ an 8600GT.
