The answer is yes on both of your questions, and NO YOU FUCKING MORON DON'T BUY THAT FROM THE FUCKING BRICK AND MORTAR.
You can get the 465 online for like 250$ and the gtx260 for 150$

There is your GTX465 for the same amount you were about to pay for your GTX260.

I still use one in a computer. Pushed 60FPS on TF2 maxed.

8800 gts here and it still runs everything I play excellently. Now just going to wait for next visual intensive game I feel I must get before I bother to upgrade. So far, that's looking to be Guild Wars 2 (and only then if I feel it would improve my experience)

same here, 8800 gts, have yet to have a problem running any game on normal settings, run most on high
happy to buy a new one if needed, I got plenty of money, but why bother when I'm running everything fine?

The problem is the 512mb, the card itself is fine but if you run something that uses a heavy amount of textures you will probably lose some fps. It isn't a huge deal you are just starting to get a bit outdated, you will probably continue to run games at max for awhile though.

Thank you for all of your inputs. I'm a bit curious to know how Newegg can charge up to $80 cheaper minus deliver fee. I guess that's the power of online stores vs. brick and mortar(no overhead, less staff, etc etc) Looks like I'll pick up a new one in a week or two. Thanx again all for your help.

Because NewEgg is run by wizards.
