No automated method will be failsafe and typically result in less than satisfactory results. Need more humans! Admins!

they have this built into hlstatsx and it is easily implementable. as to the results I never had extended exposure to, but I never heard a single complaint back in its infancy.

People cry "stack!" on practically every map of every server 24 hrs a day.

You seriously don't know what admins can do to fix it? Aren't you an admin? And just b/c people cry stack doesn't mean teams are stacked. You are a human and you can make your own judgment and resolve the problem. Admins can either switch peeps to different teams or if the scramble command is available that could also be used. Or even just asking someone to switch teams. Or maybe if it comes down to it, kicking someone.

But mp_scrambleteams restarts the map and the map timelimit.

Timelimit reset can be avoided by also setting the timelimit to how much time was left, so that's not exactly a problem.

whatever you do, i'd do it fast.


3 minute maps due to one team steamrolling the other are getting old.
