I got kicked from the server a moment ago for no given reason; though I'm sure it was because of calling Yes on 8 a bigot. (And yes, bigotry actually is defined by actions such as those that are intolerant to certain groups of people.)

I understand if the server admins don't think gay people should be allowed to get married. Cognitive abilities such as those are consistent with the brilliance that led to me being kicked a couple weeks ago while Half Duplex trash-talked for 30 minutes straight.

Really. The only person ranting and raving here was black belt. And I don't even think anyone cared.

The last time I had to deal with retarded admins was a little while ago. I made a thread about it. I thought it was an isolated situation.

I never payed to play here so I can't complain though. But I'm glad I never did!

Duplex does talk a lot of trash. It's pretty annoying; I don't care how good you are or think you are - don't let it go to your head.

I don't know who Yes on 8 is, but I'm sorry that happened. It's pretty frustrating when people with power are abusive of those powers.

You were told why you were kicked last time. You were ignoring me and insulting me in front of the entire server. You have no respect for admins and then you come here and insult us on our forums.

Also, Half Duplex was temp banned for his part in that situation and it didn't happen the way you say it did.

I kicked Tarquin and Black Belt both after asking them to stop. My personal views have nothing to do with this. I asked them to stop because no one wants to listen to two people argue about something that has nothing to do with TF2.

For the record, I never saw you ask to stop, or heard anything for that matter. And it would be nice to have been given at least a message knowing why, as I've been kicked before for what I think are stupid reasons and it's really annoying after waiting 10 minutes to join and climbing to the top of the scoreboard.

But I'll shut up about it on the mic in the future, and even though bigotry deserves to be mocked, I'll let the intolerance go unchecked.

I think that the fact that the admins don't just delete or lock this thread is a good thing, and SourceOp is a a fun place to play. But please, stop kicking me. It's annoying!

To be honest, nobody deserves respect for being an admin. That is the same logic that allows cops to taze people and the CIA to murder people for being "terrorists". Having an authority over anyone or anything does not mean you are a superior human and it does not mean you can shove anyone around because you feel "personally offended".

If they are not breaking a server rule, you can not mandate them to do anything. Insulting you, personally, is not a server rule. If the servers let any admin dictate the entire community for any reason they want, then everything goes to hell.

On the flipside, bringing up sexual issues, race issues, or personal issues has no place in TF2. Talking shit related to the game is part of the game, and it is a part of every online game, but personal issues have no place anywhere. Calling people scrubs or noobs is not equal to calling someone a jerk or asshole or faggot. If someone questions adminship, it should not be an instant punishment just because you feel personally insulted. Admins in any server, in any country, need to accept criticism. Am I saying you were wrong? No, I don't know the ENTIRE story, but your logic is that YOU were PERSONALLY insulted and you reprimanded someone for that reason, and that is abuse of authority in the clearest sense. Nobody should be special for being an admin, they should only enforce the server rules and nothing else.

Summary: Personal insults are not illegal. People are insulting all the time on the servers, just because it is against an admin does not make it a special situation and it shouldn't. The server rules state no racism and sexism, and that is about it, but as far as I see anyone is free to criticize or be a jerk to anyone provided it is related to in-game issues, and not personal issues.

If I am wrong, right me and I will shut up, but that is how I have always known this server to be run.

I remember in CS:S I called an admin a stupid fucktard (I didn't know he was an admin) because he thought I was hacking, then I was banned from an entire network of servers.
