Week One observations:
The autoscramble has been removed and for now the regulars are playing longer hours. Regulars at this point ensures that others will join the server. I have tried assimilating new players in by asking them to add the server to their favorites and visiting the website.
The server is still emptying out at night. I stayed up all night on Thursday and even though at times their were more than 20 participants, no one new was joining. Eventually the server fizzled down to nobody and there was nearly a full hour where no one joined. I am not sure how this can be changed.
A long term solution must be found for funding the servers. I will donate and I am sure there are additional regular donors. However, now that the servers are no longer full 24/7 their is little incentive for people to donate for a reserved slot.

sdogg2m has joined the server!
WildFire has been kicked to make room for a reserved slot!
LoooooL!. The only thing I really notice when compared to other servers is the latency and the shot registration. When I play on SourceOP as a sniper I have a hard time shooting heads, which is odd because I only have about 20MS increase over chicago based servers. I actually got a message from Drunken about Lotus and how they were essentially bad servers, normally I would agree but when it comes to shot registration I cannot stand SourceOP.

What server are you playing? Like I said earlier, goldrush does not maintain a constant 67 fps. Other servers (valve maps 1, 2fort) usually do and should have no registration issues.
And yes, Lotus are terrible servers. They run fake clients which always show a minimum of either 31/33 players or 23/24 players depending on how many players are actually on the server. They also run a bot quota of 16 players and then disguise the bots as real players and give them fake pings and steamids. I believe I mentioned this earlier in the thread.
Clearly though people are derp enough that it is working out ok for them.

lol, I'd report those "fake" steam ID's as aimbots.....
