I'll try to be brief:

KaiLan--
No need to apologize; I'm sorry if my long-winded response seemed to be critical of you.

Squirrelygod--
I'm sorry if other players also appear to hack. This is the only proof I have, and I only sought it out because Chronvict kept telling me to "stfu noob" when I accused him in games. I felt I needed proof to counter his insults and prove my point. Also, there are a lot of indications of hacking besides the free roaming, and you addressed none of them.

Banksy--
I didn't know there was a command to mimic this effect; I have no scripts and don't really know a thing about any console commands besides "record" and "stopdemo". (Oh, and "playdemo" :p) I was suspicious of a wallhack because I had heard Chron say, several times, things like "that guy is hacking, and it's so obvious... i mean, he's not even using a wallhack or something more discreet" (well, that was the gist, anyway, he didn't say "discreet").

Drunkefool--
Thanks for looking at this. I responded to your e-mail in much of the same way I responded to KaiLan (e.g., pointing out that the hvy does not actually make a noise that would have tipped off Chronvict).

Chronvict--
1. I do not play with a wallhack; I used one locally when watching your demo to create this video to illustrate your cheating.

2. I do not think you hack because of one incident; I *know* you hack because this video shows it, because I've seen you hack when spectating, and because of too many other things that, if described in their entirety, would make this post too lengthy for anyone but you and me to read.

3. Your explanation of your actions (which boils down to "I was stoned") is inadequate. I remain convinced that you cheat.

4. I was never asked to leave nor was I kicked out of DesA. I voluntarily removed the moniker from my name in disgust after observing you cheat first-hand. I informed Magnus (one of the DesA leaders) the next day, telling him that I was sorry for leaving, that I am not accusing any other DesA member of cheating, and that I intended to remain friendly with everyone else; he can confirm this. Please stop lying about my leaving DesA.

5. I may be bad at just about everything else, but I'm a damn good medic.

Question, if "STFU noob" repeatedly is ban worthy then why in the hell is powerjack still around? I did address it when I said "Hey it's the same thing I do except I have terrible arrow aim". I like how you say what chron makes the game not fun when you're also making the game not fun with this nonsense.

Also I said a bunch of players pull bs, I unlike you didn't accuse anyone of hacking and I rather you not put words in my mouth.

looks bs to me, I voteban

What would you know, you never play with anyone in this server, he's not cautious in the sewers because our buddy Disruptor is down there, he's always in the sewers. I've known Disruptor and Chronvict for almost 2 years now, and they play very well. Chronvict can barely perform basic PC tasks let alone hax. I cannot believe that Chron is now banned. Back when the Q servers left us all high and dry, I convinced all my friends to come play here in source servers because there was no bullshit-up until now-and i'm not sure why. This server is home to many regulars, I don't see how banning one of them forever is doing any good, now wtf is he gonna do?

FWIW, it was never my intention to get anyone permanently banned, and I was not aware of this until just now.

My goal was simply to expose Chronvict's wallhacking to stop him from doing it and to discourage others from doing it. Veteran players tended to have one of two attitudes when I approached them about others using wallhacks -- either (1) "it's life, some people abuse the system, just deal with it," and (2) "if you can't beat'em, join'em" (no one said that, per se, but I almost felt like that was the only other option people had). I feel like there should be a third option -- expose cheaters, embarrass them, and make them stop. I don't know if I achieved that, but hopefully this will discourage others from installing wallhacks to compete with cheaters.

Also, FWIW, Chronvict's attitude is generally a positive one on the server, and he will be missed. Hopefully he can come back soon. Though I don't like him spreading lies about my involvement with DesA, and his votekicking me ultimately led me to proceed with this public exposure (after I had asked him in private to stop), I don't think his attitude has been so awful to get himself permanently banned (assuming he stops cheating).

I've known chronny for since the game came out, this video for him hacking? Anticipation. What a joke. Don't ban him for this--PLEASE.

Chron doesn't hack and his attitude is better than half of those who play on source. Plz unban.

Jeez a ban for a "shithead attitude"? Thats totally unfair, I mean all he did was give his thoughts on being accused of hacking. Wouldn't you be super pissed when someone you play with regularly come out with these accusations? If you were going to ban someone for a "shithead attitude" then might aswell ban half the players on 2Fort. It just isn't fair.

Unbanned Chronvict. Sorry if it seemed hasty. It was my impression that he had been mistreating players in addition to potentially hacking. Sorry that this seems to have not been the case.
