Aimbotter on No Mods/No BS server
#11

I've seen lots of aimbots by now... those demo's did not have the properties of them

I've seen aimbots so far:
- spin-hack (spinning around and shoot when a enemy is in view). Oldest and here one can say: ITS OBVIOUS..
- "snap-to" a head within a server tick and fire.
- Distance selection, when a enemy gets closer than the one he's zoomed into, it turns automatically to that one (seen it 1 time). While the previous one was still in sight, the new one wasn't visible or being able to hear (footsteps etc)
- "slow" motion crosshair, when close to the head it headshots, and the frame AFTER the headshot its already on the NEXT enemy's head.
- "slow" motion crosshair, dead stop on head (no move of the crosshair after for a bit, prolly a prevention of the above one to be detected)
Prolly forgot a couple, its late here.

I asked you a question: what is the SPECIFIC behaviour as which you recognize it as a aimbot. Now, saying its "obvious" doesn't make it a valid argument. You must be able to name the specific behavior of it that is a tell-tale for it. One that CANNOT be waved away with that is how the player is playing his game. OR with that its a non-lagcompensated spectator "bug" or network problem.

This guy in the below vid gets accused of it a lot. But I'm sure he has none. He makes demo's himself, so he can show those for those times he gets accused with spectator demo's so he can show he had valid shots. I got his demo's for that match and made this mash-up of that map's fight. Have to join the other parts yet for the other map that we played. (My demo's as Engy didn't show much of what was going on)

I never look at history of a player. New player can be a very good gamer and just picked up TF2. Old account can pick up any day a hack if they want. Unless you found his IP address and match it with a known aimbotter (ie: circumventing a ban) its no consideration into it. Such comments are meant to just making somebody suspicious, its no proof of it. As for not setting up the profile, there are enough ppl around who simply DONT CARE about such.

"unrealistic" shots do not define a aimbot. He does miss, he does hit elsewhere than the head, etc. Yes, having the wallhack will probably mean that he has a aimbot too. But really... with a aimbot one does not really need a wallhack.

I only recently started to play sniper with rifle, played only with bow before. I'm now a decent sniper, and was already one after bout 20 hours of play as sniper. After having made all the vids above and seen them dozens of times I had a pretty good clue what would help or not.

I agree a bunch of the shots are suspicious, but one needs to DEFINE it to properly BAN someone for suspicious shots, which are ALSO from SPECTATOR, so there is no lag compensation and shots are "off" due this. Yes, I can make a 100 fps movie with it and measure it all out etc. But that's only adding useless work to something if there is no defined tell-tale.

I do often shots that I know for spectators would look very suspicious, just because I'm a high-sens player (mouse sensitivity high). I picked also the habit up to make demo's of everything I do a long time ago. I just checked, got about 5 GB of demo's in it from early July (last time around I cleaned up) to now.

If you say aimbot, the aimbot must leave a SIGNATURE of what it exactly DOES. Just banning cos someone managed some iffy shots is already done on a lot of servers calling it "aimbot" cos the admins don't want those very good ones on their servers. Or put any effort in "reading" the evidence or gathering any of such by making a demo, screenshots etc, and review those properly.

my favorite is listening to people bitch when yay joins the server

The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.

I still wanna know how you learn to snapshot like bloodsire in 8 days of tf2.
Gullibility da best.(also that youtube link was really standard sniper play. Actually I take that back his snapshotting is really bad.)

I was a commando you know.

Back ontopic, he doesn't snapshot as you say it. He does his share of dragshots etc.

So far your responses are useless for determining if the reported guy uses a aimbot, even if it is only on a couple shots.

The best line ever "I know more about something like aimbotting in this thread, because i've seen it more in my lifetime and i've watched more demos of people aimbotting than you know about, so I know what real aimbotting is!"

Which is exactly my point? I don't care how good you are you don't hit every drag shot it doesn't happen. Last post on this because anyone who watches 3 frags here can see it. It's a bound aimbot you obviously haven't seen one before.

He has 8 days experience, no steam profile, he never misses drag shots and his real aim is horrible.

I was a commando you know.

This guy a blatant aimbotter. I have a hard time believing someone with 8 days of playing, regardless of background games, can snapshot like that.

sniping in tf2 is pretty much just like scout sniping in CS.
