Aimbotter on No Mods/No BS server

No need to be rude, he was just trying to reason.

I graduated long time ago, no need for that.

But if one ban's without any firm based grounds of why its a aimbot, how can one justify them? Its just a bunch of very short clips of his gameplay. might be done straight after each, might be over the course of a hour or even more.

Luckily drunken f00l does not need an in-depth research analysis on the finer points of why or why not someone, out of tens of thousands of tf2 players, joined one of his servers for about half an hour to cheat.

But he *is* quite capable of making that judgment call after watching the video evidence provided, as it turns out.

Your time might be better well spent asking why one would be driven to cheat, instead of asking people who don't (and I personally never have) what constitutes cheating.

he's calling: its Obvious. Seems its not, cos I ask.

I reported dozens of hackers so far on the community I play normally, and if I encounter such as this one, I want to be able to recognize and report them correctly.

Just by calling "Its Obvious!!" wont get a ban there.

As for your question for why somebody goes hacking, well, no idea. Prolly dont want to play a lot to get better. Or just want to rage ppl, or use hacked accounts so they don't care etc. Who knows what drives them.

As for not cheating, for me it would ruin the game in no time, no challenge in skill etc. I report often cheaters, cos I don't want them, it ruins the game for others too. Popularity of the game will drop fast if such cheaters with wallhacks and aimbots would be around more.

Obviously it's his decision, and if he watched the demos and feels certain, great. But I doubt he bothered to spend the time to watch these over a player that is not known in the community and the ban links to this forum thread, implying it is the reason for the ban.

I really don't care about the player who was banned, I care about the precedent being established here where a couple noobs can cry foul based on a demo with obvious sync issues and someone gets banned so they'll shut up.

Help me i'm talking out of my ass without anything to back it up with. You've never heard of lag compensation or hitboxes, aimbots latch onto hitboxes.
You don't know a damn thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYSMrA3J9...00YaK1ewQ8

But of course this won't stop you from spewing constant bullshit out of your mouth and you will just add more fallacies and spew more bullshit. Honestly you better be trolling.

Oh, you know all about hitboxes?

Tried lately to turn the wireframe hitboxes of it ON? prolly not, Valve disabled it, cos someone asked questions why the legs of it didn't match the player's model.

And yes, I've seen Voogru's vids before.

client's approximated hitboxes don't mean anything.

really, why you start about this is a mystery to me. For all purposes the model is the most likeness to have a HIT.

/edit: the only thing really influencing I already mentioned a number of posts back: non-lag-compensated specatator view making stuff looking iffy.

This derailed amazingly fast. He was snapping onto the model on every shot. He was using a bind key for his aim-bot. DF made the right decision and banned him. Honestly the only person who seems to know what he's talking about is Data. But I've only read the recent page Smile

Norrec -

I don't know if this is your attempt at trolling, but as for the "some noobs" comment - I am very well capable of identifying a cheater. I don't feel the need to flex my nuts - as you feel necessary - but I have been a regular on the no mods 2fort server for ~2 years, as "Frank Zane," "Mike Awesome," and most recently under this alias. I am consistently at the top of the charts points-wise, but most importantly contribute to my team winning. Feel free to come check it out.

Admittedly, if I'm sniping, I'm using the huntsman and not the rifle, as hanging out and waiting on people does not suit my playstyle. If you want to see someone who isn't cheating and isn't god-awful, come watch Skrag. I don't know if this greater-than-thou attitude comes from the fact that you did/are/will cheat, but I think you'll find it a humbling experience.
