Was just playing on cp_gravelpit (4:30am EST) defending as a sniper when I was kicked for killing an admin. The admin with player name "Jack" joins and I headshot him through the crack in the "A" control point (facing from the "C" control point), so he kicks me. I rejoin and question it, he says I was exploiting.

I consider myself a quiet player and am not one to complain but this is asinine. I would like to know how I was exploiting and how this admin gets away with this type of behavior. I was enjoying my game...

I'm sorry this happened to you but I'm glad you came here to the forums to post so we can discuss it. As for the incident in question:

He thought you shot him through the wall (or was exploiting) and he kicked you (a bit impulsively). He made a mistake. You told him you shot him through a crack so he went to check and found out you were correct. He tried to apologize but you had left the server. It's likely he will apologize to you when he next sees you (or sees this thread).

Normally I wouldn't comment on matters involving other admins but since I was on to witness this, I thought I would. I know you as a reg and I've never seen you cause trouble.

I am sorry that you were kicked and I can understand how this can affect your ability to have fun on the server. No one wants to be kicked for no reason. If you check in and see this, please accept my apologies and come back to the server to play. You weren't exploiting and I understand how you feel the kick was unfair.

While it's not an excuse, as an explanation: even admins can make mistakes or act too hastily sometimes. The admin in question does feel bad for kicking you and recognizes that you didn't do anything wrong and he made a mistake. It won't happen again.

I hope to see you again on the servers with no hard feelings and please feel free to PM me or Steam message me if you want to discuss the matter further.

Is there really some sniper hack? Because recently on two occasions i've gotten head shot behind solid buildings that snipers aren't capable of shooting to.

I thought it was just some lag compensation bullshit but...

There is no way a sniper can shoot you through a wall unless it's a map glitch. There is no "shoor through walls" hack. Lag compensation can get you some times though.

amdqq on 24/7 shoots your ass through walls it seems like he is but the dude has a 250+ ping so its just lag compensation and makes it seem like it. That dude is one annoying mofo .

I appreciate your apology and alacrity; it would be more meaningful had it come from the admin in question.

Instead of just making impetuous decisions why not examine the situation first or at least have a discussion? This is an attribute that all admins should possess. It was clearly an act of rage and frustration...

I just enjoy spending my time playing the game, uninterrupted. Again, thanks for your apology and prompt response.
