torrent based web-service
#1

Okay, so I just thought of a great breakthrough for web-browsing (I am sure it isn't new, but I thought it would be pretty good).

my idea is simple: A built-in torrent service for websites to decrease bandwidth costs. this has been done with files, but my idea is to make the website itself a torrent-like system, and have a specialized client able to upload the site to other users as they are browsing. If you think about it, it would be a perfect alternative to advertising. The user wouldn't have to wade through ads to get to what they wanted, but in return they would help others view the website.

it also balances itself out, as even if more people view the website the bandwidth won't dramatically increase for the initial web server.

the only thing I can see the webserver having to do is an initial seeding process (making sure that there is always a good availability) and some sort of high-sensitivity check sum system to make sure nobody plants a virus in the packets they are seeding.

I hear the Big Three auto makers are considering resorting to piracy to get the funding being denied to them by congress.
