*cough*
<insert comment about custom anti-idling-noob-kicking code>
You know, I blame Valve for the endless turtle-fests. For whatever reason people play for points. And for most people the best way to lose points slowly is to play safe.
I mean if you really stop to think about it (and as someone who's trying to waste time whilst at work, I am) what do you really get for playing a hard offense?
Think about it for a while. I'll wait.
The short answer is nothing (blah, blah, blah, satisfaction occasionally).
But here's where a tricky server admin can buck the system. Hlstatx is it's own configurable points system. Booya!
Why not review the Hlstatsx configuration and kill 2 birds with one stone?
1) Reward players who PLAY the game and don't *cough* farm gold (!!?)
2) Goto 1 (ha ha, okay maybe tune it so I don't lose 25 points by n00b death)
Profit!
And so on.
(P.S. I'm better then RCR...combined AND ON FIRE.)
Maybe. For the glory! Etc.
