And what Macs can do for me that PC's cant is save time. I've got Unix with an easy to use UI. I don't have to worry about driver conflicts for something as stupid as a mouse or have to modify config files to get something to work. For my parents I don't have to worry about fixing their computer that's been loaded down with trojans and spyware, nor having to be there to install something as basic as a printer.

I'm not going to bother getting into the hardware argument because it always ends the same way - somehow an inferior spec'd machine is better than the mac because its cheaper.

1.Mice and printers are plug and play and use legacy drivers.

2. Even idiots can use Microsoft Security Essentials and with UAC there is virtually (or emually, because you think that they are synonymous) no way to get viruses on anything past vista

I can chock those two up to not using a PC since 1999.

Basic low-end mac pro's comes with the following:

One 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
3GB 1066MHz DDR3
640GB hard drive 1
18x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 512MB
No display
Basic keyboard and mouse

I can easily build a machine with:

One I7 2.66 Ghz processor
12gb 1600mhz ddr3
2 1tb hard drives
Sony Blu Ray burner
Nvidia GeForce GTX295
Samsung syncmaster 1080p-ready 22" display
Logitech G500 with whatever keyboard you prefer

This is without looking at the fact that Apple uses low-end motherboards (they are officially contracted with Foxconn, which anybody who builds a computer avoids like a plague).

I could also easily build a superior machine, I was honestly just clicking on the most expensive shit.

I built a similar machine to said mac-pro for about 1000$. If you can honestly justify paying 1500$ for the ability to run OSX (which you can do with a Hackintosh system) then be my guest.

and to answer your question: Mac users aren't happy they are deluded.
