No honestly, the whole reason I started playing on the sourceop server(s) was because of the good pings and the ability to use custom VTFs. Then, after a update a few updates back it all stopped working. At the server side, there is a "whitelist" file that can be modified so as to allow certain files to be altered and what-not. I'm guessing that after above mentioned update, valve added a *.VTF or something so as to block all the mods.
I have some other unreleased mods pertaining to the actual particle files (*.pcf's...), but now it appears that valve is blocking all mods to these by default too, so I guess I'm not going to bother. Kinda sad, because my newest blood pcf files add wicked, copious amounts of splatter to the game hehe.
