Hello everyone. My names' p3y0t3, and I'm an addict. Hehe no really, I'm sure I've probably met and\or played against many of you on the 24/7 2fort server. I'm the @!*% with a tent pitched, feeding you stickies instead of smores ;-)

Anyhow, the reason I am here is to let everyone know that drunkenf00l was nice enough to make it possible to use a couple of custom VTF's on the 24/7 forts server. Whats a VTF you ask? Its' (V)alve's (T)exture (F)ormat. Its quite a flexible texture format, allowing all sorts of coolio shizzle to be done. Anyhow, the two additions he added were the ability to do custom blood decals, and the ability to utilize a custom medic beam. So anyways, HERE is a example of a medic beam, and HERE is the blood mod that I did. And feel free to check out all of the TF2 modding goodness I have done to date HERE. nJoy, and I'll see you all on the battlefield!

Sup 8) Pretty cool looking stuff.I downloaded a bunch of custom stuff and then found out most servers you can't even use it bleh.I'm sure the people who made all that custom shit were plenty pissed off 2 8O

No honestly, the whole reason I started playing on the sourceop server(s) was because of the good pings and the ability to use custom VTFs. Then, after a update a few updates back it all stopped working. At the server side, there is a "whitelist" file that can be modified so as to allow certain files to be altered and what-not. I'm guessing that after above mentioned update, valve added a *.VTF or something so as to block all the mods.

I have some other unreleased mods pertaining to the actual particle files (*.pcf's...), but now it appears that valve is blocking all mods to these by default too, so I guess I'm not going to bother. Kinda sad, because my newest blood pcf files add wicked, copious amounts of splatter to the game hehe.

Welcome to the forums. I've seen you around in game.

I've never used custom VTFs for TF2 but I like the medic beams. Best I've seen and GJ with the blu. All I use is a custom Steam skin. I like your stuff though; was browsing your consoleFXs. Nice job. Thanks for sharing!
