Okay, you do not need 16gb's of ram. Anything over 8gb's is complete overkill, unless, you do video editing or heavy photoshop.
Getting a part right when it comes out is the worst idea imaginable for anyone who doesn't have money coming out of their ears.
Also, the laptop you linked is good. I suggest getting a cooling pad and making sure the laptop has good ventilation. Biggest problem with gaming laptops is they get VERY hot if they do not have good fans.
