Tho I do see a difference between blatantly farming points (as in this case) and playing specifically to maximize points/minimize point loss (I'm sure we all are guilty of that at one point or another me included).

Just take a chunk lets say 25% every time someone is caught blatantly farming and call it a day.. imo.

This is different from an exploit.

This user is using an exploit that deals with building sentry guns to gain points. This was not an intended part of the stats system.

Does sk8 have the right to be a pansy? Yes. Should he be? No, everyone hates playing with this sort of player. Nonetheless, he is farming points using legitimate methods, as opposed to exploiting the hlstatsx (or whatever it's called) system.

I have run gameme stats before. There is actually a way to eliminate the points while keeping the stats. Maybe a petition is in order for change?

This is pretty much what I have now, which is cool. It's the numbers I'm most interested in.

DF, since it doesn't count my total points anymore, would you consider me doing the same thing problematic?

Note to anyone here who cares about point totals: The fastest way to increase the total, is to play. Goldrush is the fastest, v1/v2 are in the middle and 2Fort is a point whore blackhole. But you gain points faster by playing than rebuilding sentries. I didn't rebuild sentries to "farm points". If I wanted to farm points, I'd go to Goldrush.

Takara everyone knows they can go to goldrush server play demo/medic and get the most points.

thats why every player that comes to #1 server from goldrush end up being with negative points or barely any so they go back there.
