Hey guys, glad to see a discussion somewhere about this. Certainly nobody has contacted me, other than Sk8. When I replied, he ignored me. It's cool sk8, I know you never liked me. It's too bad nobody even asked me about it before action was taken. Thanks to the few of you who have questioned the issue. Thank you as well for the other comments. The truth is, I have rebuilt sentries before, while chatting with my gf on steam, or my sourceop friends. Or just hanging out defending the intel on 2fort, like ibby said. So even though this instance was my lil cuz, I'm still guilty, I did it before. If I wanted to farm points though, 2fort is NOT the place I always gain points faster by playing than screwing around. I would have never done had I known this would have happen for sure, I mean does the punishment fit the crime? If the community and DF says yes, I'll accept it.

I can't believe this. I would say that Takara has earned his rank by 99.9% of doing what is needed.

Takara, is one of the nicest members of the community and exactly who should be representing the Valve maps players.

sk8 is just saying that nobody should be allowed to point farm, nice guy or no.

This is absolutely fricken funny seeing as how sk8 is a point farmer himself.

I would be for resetting the stats. That way sk8 would at least have a chance to be #1. Of course, he would never make it and have to rat on people who are getting close to him in the standings.

Guy would probably sell out his own mother for a jump in the hlstats ranking.

I think you're missing the point. The person gaining these stats is doing so illegitimately by exploiting the point bonus gained from building stuff as an engineer. Sk8 may be a point whore, but at least he is gaining points without exploiting the hlxstats system.

The "point" is points farming.

Sk8 does it ALL THE TIME.

Hey, I am all for getting rid of hlstats and removing the scramble feature. Getting back to pub basics so that the match score matters. I just see players point farming all the time some are just less obvious than others. Sk8 is guilty of points farming.

Sk8 point farms in three ways:
1) He will often sit back and charge a kritz with the medic. Pop out and fire. Run and hide with medic again.
2) He plays sniper on points that are difficult to defend and capture.
3) He rarely plays maps where its extremely difficult to gain points. In fact, I am surprised he even played that round of 2fort.

He is a points farmer and no less guilty as Takara.

Either I am right and sk8 has gamed the system as Takara has and deserves to have his points removed or I am wrong?

I hope justice is done today and we see sk8 points removed.
