I'm convinced Chronvict has been wallhacking. You?
#1

I made a video of Chronvict that shows that he's using a wallhack to anticipate enemy movements. The day after I made this, before I told him about the proof I had, he became suspicious of my spectating him, and he votekicked me for being "afk" even though I was an active spectator, talking to him and others. After the first votekick failed, he campaigned for more votes and tried it again until he succeeded. It's clear he does not like people watching him, and now you can see why.

Please make sure you read the video description before you watch the video so that you understand how the video was created.

Well, you're sitting in spectator, that's not exactly a good thing to do in SourceOP since you should be playing. Second off, I'm not seeing any evidence of hacking here. It's pretty clear he's doing a good job as a Huntsman Sniper and you're just upset. I fail to see the hacking here.

around 1:00, he glances over where the soldier just fired a rocket.
no reason to do that unless you can't tell what's around the corner, and are looking to see if the solly is actually shooting at an enemy

He's a good player using an outragously easy weapon, not really hacking but very annoying

edit : I agree it's very strange to not spy check while in the sewers, and he did seem way to comfortable walking into their base after watching it again.

Also, he's clearly anticipating the heavy that drops down from spawn around 0:30 without ever seeing him.

edit: Just noticed the heavy drops down while revving his minigun. The sound is faint, but he possibly noticed this.

he doesn't seem very alert when he goes down the sewers and up the blu grate room

a good player would expect a spy at any moment in every corner

looks bs to me, I voteban

KaiLan,

Many players suggested I get a demo to support my claim that he has been hacking, and I know no other way to get a supporting demo without spectating. Do you have any other suggestions for getting proof, or should I just ignore players who appear to be cheating?

If Chronvict votekicked me because he was truly concerned about game balance, then he would not be one of the more notorious team stackers. I had been playing for a long time in this match before spectating, and I would guess it amounts to about 0.01 percent of my time on the server - I am not a slouch who takes up spectator spots. So I still believe he votekicked me because he was more concerned about concealing his hacking than game balance.

As far as the evidence of hacking, I see him tracking players through walls at 0:23 and 0:27. I'm sorry I inadvertently hit the console button at that time, but don't you see him tracking the medic through the wall as he runs into the sink room? He's clearly not just spamming.

There's also no explanation for the hvy from the secondary spawn. With max volume, you can't hear the heavy rev up before Chronvict starts waiting. Keep in mind he was also being shot at by an engineer in the sink room at the same time, but he ignored the engineer and waited instead for the as-yet-to-be-seen-or-heard hvy. How did he know to wait for the heavy? When do you hear him rev up?

I also think the two very different approaches he takes when he leaves the sewers at 0:54 and 1:18 are telling. In the first, he has aimed at the medic before he reaches the top, and goes for a perfectly aimed headshot before he has a chance to even look out the doorway. At 1:18, when the wallhack shows the sink room empty, he does not approach with the same care, and lobs a half-hearted attempt to conceal his earlier hacking. (Keep iin mind that
B4nksy had already pointed out that I inadvertently typed "record chronvict" into the chat instead of my console, so Chronvict was aware that I was spectating him, and I think at 1;00 and onward he tries to conceal his hacking with a few errant shots and dumb moves).

Also, I don't think it's just a coincidence that he storms into the enemy hay room later in the demo without much concern for enemies around corners. It seems reckless without a wallhack, inconsistent with the style of play for someone who constantly checks their k/d ratio and often goes 20:1 in games as a sniper.

I just want to end by noting that I am not mad that players are better than me -- too many *are* better than my mediocre ass for me to complain about that. If you sense any anger in my posts or actions, I assure you it is because I feel betrayed by a player that I once respected -- a player I followed into DesA, but whom, ultimately caused me to withdraw from the clan because I didn't want to be associated with this kind of cheating. (To be clear, I am not accusing the clan or any of its players of condoning cheating, as I am still friendly with many of their members.)

Anyone who has played w me will vouch that I'm a team player who just tries my best to compete and have fun. Wallhacking, or cheating of any kind ruins the fun, and I'm doing my best to discourage it. Please don't confuse this with jealousy.

post above TLDR: spectating to find cheaters is awwww right and this guy is obviously wallhacking close to the end you will notice he looks at the sentries position and instantly knows it is RIGHT there hes not alert enough to know exactly where it is let alone if theres a dispenser. please keep your posts down to just below novel status too thanks.

Rewatching the video, I need to refute my last post. Some of it looks legit, but at the same time, you can claim some of it as hacking. Keep in mind, I don't always make the most reasonable post half the time, and I have a habit of jumping the gun. I do apologize for that, I am only human.

I wasn't asking you to ignore hackers. I made a stupid post, and I'm sorry.

He was really suspicious in the first 40 seconds or so looking down the hallway. To be fair though, I could hear the heavy from where chronvict was when he anticipated him with the huntsman. I agree with Hell-met though, he was not alert at all when moving into the enemy base, and I wouldn't be too if I was using a wallhack as well; him sitting there in the corner in the enemy room didn't make sense at all (looked to confident on no one coming in). In the end though, I can't call hacks on someone acting stupid. I need more footage to be convinced, but I see your argument.
