I would imagine someone that just joined could have a decent chance of having a low point/death ratio. I used to get booted more than I liked soon after joining, but I don't think it ever happened after I had a little time to build my score.

I just found the players here to be rather skilled and fun to play with, so I gave some money for a reserved slot. Sooo much nicer not having to wait for an opening now.

You could just do the smart thing if you don't want to pay, and just play medic for about 10-15 minutes as soon as you get into the server. Then you'll have plenty of points and wont likely be kicked

Having to wait and getting kicked will encourage people to donate (worked on me)... but it just pisses people off that aren't interested in the community yet. Are we approaching a critical mass? Do we need more servers?

Nope, more people that donate the better. Servers are expensive and sourceop is going to be the most popular server around for a very long time.

Yes, but surely there will come a time when all the servers are full of people that have purchased a reserve slot and we will stop attracting new players to donate. We only have to donate a single time to get a reserve slot, so there needs to be a constant influx of new players cause since many people will only donate once. I doubt the donations even cover the costs of hosting all this stuff, so maybe more servers would make it even worse.

10$ for 1 year. any reg donates alot more then tht anyhow and it clears out ppl who dont play often
