removing the percentage of map vote?
#1

i have noticed that after a map has been skipped many times , the percentage of votes have to be around in the 75% in order to skip it? why cant it be at least 55% in order to skip a map, usually happens during cp_sawmill, then george goes on and ctf_sawmill comes on again. which everyone pretty much hates.
#2

i think the double sawmill part of the rotation made me completely ragequit tf2

All of the terrible maps in the rotation are why I spend so much time on the goldrush server.
#4

i dont blame you i would rather go to #2 or goldrush server but lots of noobs play there and #2 feels a bit laggy in my opinion i dont know if others have experienced those hiccups

how ironic

(but before this turns into a flame war this is just my opinion that goldrush is a bad map)

You could play on the no crit server...

Aka sourceop arena #2.(at certain times)

I was a commando you know.

On a side note as well, would it be possible to update the voting prompt itself? Right now in it's current state it is incredibly wordy and I wouldn't be surprised if people are confused by it. A simple prompt that has just the map names on them would be better. Example:

Please vote for the next map.
1: cp_granary
2: ctf_turbine

In the example, cp_granary would be the normal next map and ctf_turbine would be the next map if cp_granary was skipped.

One thing: change it from 1 and 2 to less used numbers, I can't tell you how many times I accidentally hit 1 or 2 or how many people simply press 1.

I was a commando you know.

Bug resolved as by design:

Please vote for the next map.
1: cp_granary
2: ctf_turbine
If I do this, people will start asking why I don't put more map options. Also, check out what it used to say:
Quote:<nextmap> is next.
Would you like to skip it?
1. Yes
2. No

If the veto succeeds, the next map would be:
<nextnextmap>

The results will be displayed in 30 seconds.
##% of the votes must be yes
for the veto to succeed.

veto system, please visit the forums at:

It's basically the same with no map names after the options which I think helps a bunch. Also, the way it is now, the option you pick contains the map name you want.

It just seems like the threshold can get very high, or maybe I'm just noticing it more because I play in the mornings and all the primetime regulars have skipped the same maps over and over until the threshold gets that high.

Also, your previous prompt used to not say what the next map after the skipped map was, which led to lots of buyers remorse after we'd realize we were now stuck on 2fort when the results came in. At least, that's how I remember the prompt. I assumed that's why it changed to its current form, to let people know what they'd be skipping into.

The problem with the way it is now, if I'm remembering the wording right, is that the name of the next map is repeated in both options. Can you post how the current prompt looks? I personally think having the map names is much simpler and neater as it is less to have to read when in the middle of playing TF2.
