anybody watching this pseudo-science in action?
burger king goes out and does a taste test in a remote country and feeds a big mac and a whopper, and asks which one they like better.
I have another fucking Idea, lets go find a puritain child who has never tasted alcohol and have them do a taste test between Chardonnay Finch Hollow and Chardonnay Reserve. It will be super-scientific because the test subjects have no experience judging the medium.
Fuck, lets start using 80-year-olds who have never owned a computer to review first person shooters while we are at it.

its the Mojave experiment all over again. Who wouldn't like an operating system if they had an extremely biased personal tutor walking them through every feature and teaching them how to use it.

pretty much. I mean, think of the main problems people have with vista versus XP:
Compatability with their XP apps
User account control
Sluggish performance
Driver signing requirement
WinFS is MIA
if the people know enough about the two latter to give half a shit than they wouldn't have fallen for the experiment in the first goddamn place, so lets strike those,
The sluggish performance and hardware incompatibility are completely obliterated in a closed environment.
the UAC and XP app compatibility are solved by the presence of a computer technician standing right next to them teaching them how to solve the problems.
I have a few friends who LOVE vista because I was there to solve all of their problems for them, they absolutely hated it before.
Don't get me wrong, though, I love my vista OS (actually I am running a legit copy of Server2008x64 because they tell you on their trial site how to get a 240+ day trial for FREE)
