I just installed sourceOP, I did the tutorial and got the plugin itself installed, but now I have to ask:

-How do you create the account for the remote admin tool?
-Is there a way to make the freeze commands and unfreeze commands usable by doing !freeze and !unfreeze(not the most important) and can normal players use these commands?
-Snark...?

Now as a more general question:
-There are absolutely tons of links to a broken wiki...is there a documentation of sourceOP? So far it's been hit and miss trying to get it running.

I have Sourcemod installed side-by-side with SourceOP, so I'm not completely helpless for now.

hey. So I joined the Goldrush server this morning only to see balloons flying out of people and confetti everywhere when they explode. I have never played in a party mod server nor any other mod servers. I've only ever played on source op servers. I've tried defragging my game cache and reinstalling tf2 but the balloons remain. Anyone know whats up or how to fix it?

The only thing I can think of that I did was installing 2 hl2 mods (coastline to atmosphere and strider mountain).

I tried posting on the steam forums but it says I am neither allowed to make a new thread, nor reply to an existing one. Good job steam!

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. I've tried getting the reserved slot to work per your instructions (typing connect and 67.228.59.145) but the game always tells me, failed after four attempts. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Big Grin

I used to have a user name from long ago, but I forgot it so I made a new one.

Power Jack has taken to vote kicking me every time I kill him on 2fort no mods server. He spams that I am cheating/aim botting/wall hacking or scripting....which I don't think he realizes scripts are part of game and supported by valve... so kind of silly to accuse someone.

Anyways I have done my fair share of shittalking and even been kicked for it by admins. But griefing someone for playing should be unacceptable. Power Jack talks just as much shit as any other player, but instead of idiot, dum dum, or butthead...it is nigg#r, f@g, z@pper head, go#k, or j@w bastard that comes out of him. AT LEAST give him a talking to, if not a temporary ban.

So this last week I've been building some resentment about autobalance. While useful, for some reason it's turned into a plague for me. Normally I automatically choose the "losing" side because I'm a helper-type (mostly playing a medic, afterall). But when I do join that losing side and work with people to start winning, somehow right before we do win, I'm the one who gets autobalanced. Ok ok the points for winning aren't much really, but maybe it would be less irritating to get autobalanced if points are given for being the random person to get switched. I consider myself a regular on the servers now and have worked diligently to move up ranks. Several times now I've lost those sought after points simply because I died at a bad time. As it is I frequently get shoved off the Goldrush cart trying to heal people and lose 30 points time and again, but never complain. This, on the other hand, is getting quite tiresome. I choose to not hump the cart over the checkpoint, I do not choose to get bumped to the other team.

Today I was playing on maps2 having a grand old time with nerds around the globe when a message pops up on the text screen by Versed.

I was pleasantly surprised he got admin since I know he's been a part of source for a while, but what he said was disturbing.

He said there should not be chat unless it was related to the gaming at hand.

Granted, we had an annoying fucktard screaming into the mic and he promptly kicked him which was great... but saying we should only be chatting about the game? Fuck that.

I don't play sourceop servers to hear "spy behind me" and "sentry on the right" and pure silence. I always come back to source because of you crazy geeks that play and talk about dumb shit.

So, being the dick I was, I started trolling Versed, asking if DF would tell people to only chat about the game. He said he wasn't DF.

Quite obvious.

Then I started making fun of the rule, telling people to be quiet whenever they didn't talk about the game. Asking if me getting my dick sucked while playing the game would be bannable.

Quite understandably I was gagged and rightfully so because I would have trolled the rest of the game (Other's were gagged too, though they weren't trolling the admin, I think he might have actually gagged people for not talking about game matters).

It's really concerning when an admin says you can't talk about anything non-game related in the server. It pretty much sucks the fun right out of playing for those who have played a map a 1000 times.

This is just shy of an admin kicking someone just because they get dominated by a guy a lot. It reeks of the 'drunken with power' stereotype.
It's gross, it's offensive, and goddamnit, as much as you people may want, i don't want to try and find another server with as many funny dumb nerds as this one Cry

I don't know what should happen. I always liked Versed on these forums so I was surprised at what he said so maybe just an understanding that voicechat about non-game related things shouldn't be gaggable/kickable/bannable unless you are screaming like an idiot?
