Ya, that's because the model effects are calculated on the client. So a hit with lag compensation will "look" like a regular hit. But the hit itself will be adjusted and if necessary rolled back in order to compensate (you miss!).

If you make a ping limit lower than 150ish i will hate you all forever! (jk, but i would be annoyed) When i first started playing on one of the tf2 servers it was the only 32 player server with a ping that wasnt 500+. Sure, there are probably english/european ones by now but ive spent too much time on this one to be moving now.
Anywho i never really noticed the game helping me. When my ping is 100-150 it makes it hard to play as a pyro, flames just dont want to hit people even though they "look" like they are in range; heavys hit me from round corners before they even get round it and i get shot in the head after ive just ran behind a wall. People who do this to me have normal 50ish pings.

Ha ha. Usually you don't see ping limits set lower then 300 but since Drunks been pretty silent I'm guessing no change is pending anyway.
Regarding your point about the pyro not being helped I think you're absolutely right:
Quote:Exceptions
Projectile weapons such as rockets, grenades, and flares are not lag-compensated. It is not clear whether the Syringe Gun or Flamethrower are lag-compensated.
Spectators do not have lag-compensation. If you are spectating someone in first person, you are not seeing exactly what they are seeing. This is especially noticeable with high-latency snipers, where you should expect to see unusual shots that may appear to miss or jerk about from your perspective.

we just need a plugin to disable lag-compensation. high-ping players can go fuck themselves and get a cable/FIOS account.

No one wants to get kicked because they suffered a 1-second-600-ping-due-to-some-unexpected-interference-by-the-provider-and-then-wait-a-hour-for-a-player-slot.

It's not my fault FiOS isn't available in my area.

I don't suggest kicking people who lag, I am suggesting finding a way to disable the lag-compensation so that they can't kill people through walls...
