Pineapple, I believe I explained my side of the story throughout this thread. If you can't see that, then you really are retarded. Take your time to read before asking questions that have been answered since the first page.

Ban evasion will just make me annoyed and get you banned again. I wouldn't recommend it.
Please do adjust your monitor to fair levels. Like I said, I will consider making the ban temporary later.

Then it is completely irrelevent.
My side: The video, You shooting me while I'm invisible.
Your side: You turn up your contrast and brightness
That's it right? No need for someone to be in the server. It's a question of whether you can see spy's by doing that.
And from what I hear on the steam forums, valve does not render cloaked spies, or uses a shader. Donnnn't think you can change brightness and contrast to see invisible spies.

Drunken, thank you. I guess new account = no-no, and I respect your authoritaay, so I won't be attempting to evade the ban. I will try my best to get in contact with players on the server at the time of the incident and get them to post here.
Pineapple, that isn't my side of the story.. While that is part of it, the rest is the fact that I have NO hacking history whatsoever, and the fact that I play on the SourceOP servers all the time, much more often than you do, and I've never been accused of hacking. People don't just start hacking and risk getting banned from their favorite server, it makes no sense at all. Your evidence is pretty much garbage, and taken out of context. If used alone, that evidence is convincing, but once you see chat logs, review the "hackers" history, and hear his story; your evidence is pretty much just a sidenote. Also, nice lie, but again, epic fail. Spies ARE rendered. Steam uses a special shader to make them blend with their background. Refer to ChaosSynergy's post, you know, the one RIGHT AFTER the post that says that "cloaked spies arent rendered." GG. When you raise the brightness and contrast on a monitor, it saturates all the colors. It makes the transparency shader that Valve uses, slightly visible. It's only visible on the outside because that is the BORDER of the model, which is always the easiest part to see. Don't quote me on this, but in theory, if you had an EXTREMELY low resolution, with shit quality and NO anti-aliasing, you might be able to see jagged edges on a cloaked spy. Again, not sure, so don't quote me on it.

That's the thing. How is it relevant?
No hack history? who knows? You didn't get caught yet.
Chat logs? what... what does that have anything to do with you hacking.
The fact is, if you can't see cloaked spies by turning up contrast and brightness, you're hacking.
And so far, looks like it. Quoted from the steam forums, answering my question about being able to see spies by turning up contrast/brightness; "You shouldn't be able to, it's not an alpha blend, it's supposed to be complete transparency of the model... there's no reason to even leave something like this up to chance, since even a potential of being able to see a spy would ruin the entire purpose of cloak."
plus, sucking up to drunken isn't helping your argument...

Wow this oxide fellow is obviously quite angry!
After watching video, i would also tend to believe you are hacking.

The spy playermodel is completely removed out of the world when you cloak, there's virtually no way a brightness tweak could permit you to see him.
Plus, you were clearly at the opposite side of A in the video, meaning there's no way in hell you could have seen a small shimmering, even less making a headshot.

I'm not going to post my server up here. I don't advertise my server in any way, shape or form on other servers or their forums because we don't allow it on ours. I'll just say this, it's not a server that you frequent. Last night was the first and only time you've played there. And regardless of your methods, you're an exploiter and will remain banned on my server.
Also I like how you claim to be a regular here, stating that you play on the Sourceop servers all the time, logging on every night for 3-5 hours... Your first time playing here was 7/29 (Tuesday). And you've logged a whopping total of 6 hours and 13 minutes.

It looks like a hack to me, but even if it wasn't a hack, the lengths that you went through to be able to see cloaked spies shows your character. If you were using a brightness/contrast method to see cloaked spies and give yourself an unfair advantage over everyone else, it shows you don't care to play on an even playing field. Your intent by doing this is the same as someone hacking, giving yourself an unfair advantage.
The whole contrast stuff sounds like bull crap to me.
