Not only those are numerous updates over time, but I'm fairly certain the vanilla game still has had more content than all the updates combined.

Reskin+new sound=totally new character. All of it could have been branched out over a long period of time just like tf2. It was a moneygrab that went very well for valve. And since they are apparently introducing the old characters who didn't suck into the new l4d2 l4d1 will become even more dead. They are beating a dead horse with a bat after they took off his hooves for glue and put him on the barbecue for horse steak.

Why did this thread turn into an L4D vs L4D2 debate?

If you consider L4D2 by itself, its an awesome game, loads of fun when playing co-op with good friends. Well worth the 25 bucks.

It's not valve's fault if you are too dumb to realize the major gameplay differences between both games

Do you even know what a reskin is.

also there's a new dlc coming out for l4d2 right? So maybe people will start playing it again... I'm leaning towards buying it.
