Since you guys do not seem to understand the problem, I will try and explain. It might be fine to speak in another language, but the majority of the people on the server speak and understand English. It's kind of annoying and distracting if someone hears something being said that they are not able to understand. Also, for some reason, and no offense to you two, you guys speak very loudly and rapidly; another reason why some consider it as micspam.

If you want to talk in Spanish, just use the Steam Voice Call feature

Oh, and Phantom, Womb never kicked you. I think he gagged you for one or two rounds based on complaints. And I've been there when I've heard you speaking spanish btw, it's kind of distracting, especially when you swear very loudly when someone kills you.

As someone who was affected by this directly (getting banned by ibby), I have to say that it is utter and complete bullshit that I get banned for trying to votekick a KNOWN and HATED mic spammer because he goes off and cries about it. People on my team were verbally complaining about having to remute matador after every map change, it was intolerable! Did I maybe go a bit overboard with the votekicking? Maybe... But then again, he was asked multiple times to stop the spam. It wasn't his spanish that bothered everyone, it was the fact that his mic was overly loud, he constantly had his push to talk button down, he never shut up, and he was verbally assaulting others on our team. I got tired of having to remute him every map. I got tired of asking him to stop, and I got tired of listening to others do the same. As some one who has played on that server for literally years, and donated, I find it somewhat sad that after a player gets kicked no less than 3 times for mic spamming (oh which all 3 passed), he comes back, cries "mommy" and I get the boot for it. I hardly EVER votekick anyone, other then in jest to Enforcer for being a Kiwi, and matador legitimately deserved to be kicked for spam.

Sadly because the admins find it more important to ban me for votekicking someone who was being spammy rather than actually taking care of the spammer because he QQ's to an admin, I will no longer be playing SourceOP servers. Am I taking my ball and going home? Sure, I guess if you look at it from a child's perspective. However, I choosing this route because I do not want to support Drunken F00l or his cronie admins with further donations or play on his server when they will act rashly and callously without listening to the players or examining all the facts.

Thanks to those who I have enjoyed years of TF2 play with on Valve maps 1, its been a real blast! Womb, you are a total douchebag, and ibby you are no better. People like matador ruin servers and you only perpetuate the problem by reinforcing his shitty behavior. Thanks you two for making valve maps 1 a crappy place to play now. And thanks matador for showing me just how amazing prickish the admins have gotten on that server. I hope you two enjoy the spammers. And I hope you guys enjoy the long term regulars leaving in droves because you to make completely stupid and moronic decisions and act like complete fools.

My apologies then, I was mis-informed that you were the person who banned me. I hold no ill-will towards you if you were not the person who did it.

However, i dont see how I abused the votekick. He is a KNOWN spammer, people were complaining. I votekicked him, it passed... he came back, and i thought nothing of it. He started spamming again, and I votekicked him again. He came back and I again thought nothing of it other then "he better not start spamming again or I will vote kick him again" and guess what? He was STILL spamming! I would not have had to keep votekicking him if the freaking admins did something about it other than ibby just saying "just mute him" which is a cop-out excuse and a sign that he is just being lazy. I DID mute him, and then i muted him again when the map changed because he was still spamming, and again the next map for the same reason... the point is, I did what I did because ibby or whoever was in charge that day on that server was doing a piss poor job of dealing with it other than to be lazy with a "so what" response of "just mute him".

So you tell me? Am I over reacting or would it have been different if the admins had done what they were suppose to, to begin with? Would things have played out different is the admins had done the right thing and banned the spammer or better yet, gagged him, or even just kicked him? The point remains that I got the boot for something that everyone voted for 3 times IN A ROW! How is that abuse?

the second and third time you started the votekick you did so when he connected to the server and before he even joined a team

the second one we ignored, but the third time he came it he barely had enough time to type in "contact admin" before he was booted.

its entirely possible that he would have gotten the hint the first time around, but you guys never gave him that chance.

Once the third one was initiated we were like "yeahhhh... gotta stop it."


to be perfectly honest i was all gungho for banning the two then and there for micspam, but it's well known that i think matador is a clown and i was trying to avoid the whole "personal agenda" thread for my very first act as an admin.

i also didnt have gag powers until later that night.
