a bit too easy to be banned?

The admins on my server can see a 2D map overview which shows all players. It looks like this:

Basically, you were zipping around all over it. It coincided with what people were seeing in game.

Also, curious, why is your IP address assigned to Electronic Arts?

he is obviously a developer for TF2 and was testing your servers to see if you guys were understanding and tolerant so they could release some super-secret dev-kit to you.

You blew it, man...

Ooo, de_dust2. Do you have a CS server too? Or is that just an old screenshot?

ya, sorry, omega's right, no devkit for you! 8)

and i work for EA, i play from there at lunch a couple times a week.

so i was the only one that seemed to be zipping around at that time though? or does that overhead show everyone at once? i did see a few people look to be moving fast, but i thought it was just more server stuttering. they would move forward really quick, but then stop for a second or two, then do it again. that wasnt what was happening with me was it?

i've been playing since the game came out, from both home and work, and havent had any problems like this, thats why i'm so curious. i'm wondering if they've put up some odd firewall or something that was screwing with my connection. though, like i said, i didnt have any problems with your other server just minutes later.

The overhead shows everyone. You were the only one doing it.

hmm... well i dunno then. i checked with our IT dept, cause i have seen there virus scans and whatnot do odd things, but they said nothing was running then... so i give up... no idea what did it.

if you see any other oddities from that time i'd appreciate it if you let me know, but otherwise, i'm done... i'll stop bugging you. Tongue

Also, just because you keep coming back doesn't prove that you're innocent. As the old saying goes criminals tend to return to the scene of a crime.

The exception to this of course is when criminals break out of prison. Their first(and only) course of action is to get as far away from the prison walls as possible.

And not come back.

criminals very rarely return to the scene of the crime... I will say, though, that most people who are banned for hacking don't waste their time fighting it.

Clearly these men would have to disagree. I read the entire story before and they basically broke out to get some beer and smokes and were caught trying to break back in.

Here's another one where they were picked up by Federal Marshals trying to break back into prison after going to party at a hotel. It's like they were sneaking out of their rooms at their parents house and got busted coming back.

Basically both stories talked about how the men never wanted to actually leave prison they just wanted to get out for a bit and come back. They were more comfortable being in jail. The police said they had every opportunity to make a run for it (other then initially leaving the jail) and they didn't. Quite strange if you ask me.
