Wow... Valve fucked it up
#11

It's been patched, but people who did the unlock still get their weaps... that means pro medics that didn't use it are fucked while noob medics get their precious weaps.

gg Valve...

If there are any pro medics that are pissed off that want their achievements now since everyone else has them, let me know. I can hook you up.

The weapons arent any better or worse than the previous loadout... how hard is that to understand? They are an alternative to the current weapons... once you attain the weapons and play with them for more than an hour or so, you'll understand.

I didn't say the new weapons are necessarily better... I'm just sayin'. I viewed those unlockables as a little something for the people who enjoy playing a medic, and also for the medics that are really good at being a medic. Those console commands ruined that...

Valve has removed the console commands and revoked achievements from anyone who may have used them. This should make people happy.

I also hereby revoke my offer to give people achievements since everything seems to be in order now.

Alright... it seems Valve has fixed everything. Still a pretty stupid mistake... but whatever. At the end of the day, it is people's in-game performance that seperates the noobs from the pros.

I thought the bloodsucker thingy and ubersaw were clear upgrades? Was I misinformed?

The blutsauger, IMO, seems to be more useful than the original needle gun because it makes retreating from pyros a hell of alot easier. I dont care if it doesnt crit, it heals at an alarming rate and thats more useful than 3 or 4 crit needles.

The ubersaw, I dont know if the risk outweighs the benefit. Sure, 4 hits for uber but most medics get chopped to pieces before that.

All in all, I believe 9 out of 10 medics will switch to the blutsauger because it just seems to be a better weapon. The remaining weapons will be a matter of situation and personal preference.
