I look at it that its an amazing weapon since The soldier has health, splash(rockets), precision(shotgun) and now speed and an incredible melee. Really, what's the downside to soldiers now? Its a great escape mechanism and often a 1 hit melee.

the way to balance the shovel and equalizer:
give the EQ the damage buff, remove the speed buff
give the shovel the speed buff

It was meant to be a means of retreating on low hp. In comp a solo sollys biggest issue was being inable to rjump due to health constraints and the whole a medic isn't humping me thing.[/b]

jesus christ you're fucking stupid. i was trying to make the weapons side grades, each with their own special use. even with that nerf everyone would still use the equalizer. the shovel would serve the purpose you describe you vapid cunt.

I've gone back to shovel. I love hitting people with a shovel. There is something simplistic and satisfying about it.

Does anyone use the fire axe? Or the bonesaw? it is still a side grade womb raider ive seen plenty comp matches end with a shovel hit and you cannot be healed with the equalizer. If they remove the damage completely it will be a sufficient side grade like the axetinguisher or the ubersaw. Even though the ubersaw is an obvious upgrade its not an overpowered upgrade and that is what matters. And can you manage to post without stringing a sling of insults for once? It's one of those posting habits that does nothing to help your side of the argument.
