Yeah you can.
Any weapon that leaves you vulnerable to a one-shot-kill from the sniper's SMG isn't overpowered, and if a weapon that allows you to sneak up on people and hit them once to kill then then the Ambassador and Spy-knife are overpowered as shit, because you don't have to be below 20 hp for them to be effective.

It already is "nerfed" in comp play, because it doesn't have random crits.

This is news? I was pretty sure this is why only certain unlockable's were allowed in comp play. Pyro unlocks, medic and heavy unlocks etc. But none of the solly or demoman ones because theyre op as hell. Those league players were good but i've seen far better in #tf2pug.(not saying i'm better)

One of those won the tournament though, and many had pretty big impacts in games. I don't think that a soldier should be able to win a game with 3 cheap melee kills, where he really should have died.
In addition to no random crits, I think the equalizer should start the soldier off with an initial move speed penalty.
