Team Stack Problem
#1

I know this sounds like whining, but the team stacking in your valve map tf2 servers is getting rediculous. This is how it works....

There are a few main/good players who play in the servers A LOT. They tend to attract other decent players who play in server. This means that all the majority of the players are trying to get on the team that has all the good players, EVERY SINGLE MAP. I can't remember a time when i was in your servers when one team wasn't rolling another one.

Some possible fixes for this would be to not allow people to press tab to see who is on red/blue team at the team select screen. I don't know if this is possible but it would help hugely.
Or, there could be a time limit to select a team before you get auto'd.
Adding the command !teamscramble would be good also so taht people can vote to scramble the teams if it gets bad.

I know i'm not the only one pissed off about the stacking. I see people complaining about STACKING at the beginning of every round, and the end.

If you could find some cure for this fix it would MUCH APPRECIATED. I've been playing in your servers for a long time now and I'm starting to get frustrated with this issue. Thanks for any help..

I agree. Everyone that plays on the servers knows to join red each map change so they don't get steamrolled. I know people want to play with their friends but it's just getting ridiculous now.

!Teamscramble mod would be ideal.

Sounds like QQing to me. Get better and get coordinated, nuff said. If you dont have a mic, get one, makes things a shit ton easier.

If you hang around a little more, you'll find that stack whiners also end up on the winning team because there are more regs around than people realize. Sometimes people work together, other times they don't...it depends on their mood really.

So many times, it's just an imbalance in classes. Instead of whining (and I'm not implying that you are...I'm just saying in general) that there aren't any medics...go fucking medic.

What I've found is that complaining about such things doesn't work and you just have to buck up, change class, and lead the way.

If you're not willing to do that, then you probably won't be listened to, be labeled a whiner, and people will silence you on voice chat and your complaints or suggestions will disappear into the ether.

Stacking is also a way of life on SourceOP...it happens and yes, it can be frustrating...but I doubt it's going to change and there are ways around it, server side invocations and incantations won't do it.

what server do you play on? Also i asked for a only auto assign button but drunken said the server would become unpopular fast.

BTW do you happen to look like Buddy Holly?

I've thought about this before, and think it's the best option. It would also prevent people AFKing in the unassigned team.

Definitely true. I'm sure tons of people would leave forever if they could not choose their own team.

Thanks bud, but I use my mic at all times, and when people on your team aren't using their mics, its kinda hard to get coordinated isn't it? You must not play tf2 very much or on the unstacked team too often. Must be one of the ones joining red team all the time right? Thanks for your suggestions tho chief.

Drunken, I agree with you, that would solve 2 problems with one solution. I think it would make everyone have more fun on the server.
