Lately the server has been crashing quite a lot, leaving us playing the beginning of the map rotation over and over again. Would it be possible to have the server pickup on the rotation where it left off? Or perhaps just randomize the rotation frequently?
If it's a issue of the work required to do it, I wouldn't mind writing a script to do either of those ideas.

a better solution would be to resolve the crashes

one of the solutions would take 15minutes of coding, the second would potentially take days of debugging and only last until the next large update they throw on us.

one is an actual solution to the problem, while the other just alleviates one of the effects that frustrates you while consuming time that could be spent on the real solution. I just think it's better to deal with the root of a problem than go around patching over all the side effects. I'd stop playing on a server that crashed all the time regardless of it restarting the rotation or not.

i know what's causing the crashes (at least most of them)
the problem is fixing it because while we know PART of what's causing it, there's other variables associated with the crash that are unknown
as it stands there's only one option to fix the problem for now, and some people might not like it
The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.

It's a TF2 issue unrelated to the SourceOP servers specifically. I've sent as much info as I know about it to Valve.

I saw someone banned for crashing the servers, so I think they're just trying not to give out too much detail to keep the intentional crashes down.

Now my proud of achievement of playing 26+ hours on #1 are all gone.

If it's true that someone might be trying to crash the server maybe they just want to keep playing dustbowl? I mean, it's such an amazing map that I could see someone crashing a server just to play it over and over again.
