Apparently I can log in on it fine on my laptop, only thing I can think of doing is removing and reinstalling steam but I really don't want to have to re-download everything and I haven't backed up my local content on any of my games. Sad

LOLOL CONTACT STEAM SUPPORT

No, kidding. Did you have a custom skin or something that may have messed up in a recent update? Anyways, if you don't want to lose all your stuff and reinstall Steam do this:
  1. Close Steam.
  2. Go to you Steam install folder (ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam)
  3. Move steamapps and userdata out to somewhere else temporarily.
  4. Uninstall Steam.
  5. Delete anything left over in the Steam directory to be sure. Maybe check it out to make sure it's not something you want.
  6. Install Steam. Do not launch Steam. If it launches on its own, close it, whatever.
  7. Put steamapps and userdata back.
  8. Launch Steam and login.
That should keep all your games and crap the same but give you a fresh copy of Steam.

bloatware would slow down your system but hardly would break anything on it.

I was kidding, AVG is just a crappy anti spyware program.

>DO NOT< trash AVG and Firefox! I'm running both on my computer.

<sighs>

If not AVG, then what else??

AVG is captain false positive of the poor detection army. Firefox isn't a bad browser I just like Opera.
Use combofix(free) combined with super anti spyware. Or if you don't want to spend money avast isn't too bad I hear though I have never personally used it.

I started to use avast when I built my XPx64 system right after release. At that time, no other mainstream antivirus company supported x64 platforms, avast did and was free. I still use avast and like it. Also use the new ff tho still pissed they moved some shit around.
