Yes. It's dead 9 times out of 10 anyway. May as well liven it up a bit with other maps.

Alternate suggestion: CTF/CP server.

Or alternate/alternate solution: Update the rotation on #2 like the half dozen threads already existing request.
Some change to the current SourceOP environment would be beneficial at this point.

Although it will do no good. DF has been told numerous times that the servers would benefit from some change and refuses to do anything. My two cents? Please kill ONE of the 2 fort servers in favor of a CTF server. Plenty of people will populate it. I actually think that it would end up becoming one of the most popular sourceop servers if done properly. But once again, DF won't do anything about it. If he won't make me an admin but will make womb raider and Fusion one, he obviously has his priorities skewed. See right there was a big word (6 letters) that neither would understand.

Seriously, we need some sort of attention to the state of the servers, in rotations, performance and other areas (reserved slots for example). Nephyrin has a big job and just needs to delegate the busy work to some competent people, like Butane and/or Womb. If it stays as it is though, the servers and community will continue to suffer.
Edit: And by busy work I mean server administration (rotation changes, restarting the processes on the server, etc), site administration (migrating to a newer version of phpbb or a completely new solution, etc) and development of solutions (reserve slots). As for 'admins' of the server (meaning janitors that ban hackers, griefers, etc) we need more, but until the issues with the servers are addressed (like rotation and reserve slots) those janitors are a secondary need.

I dont think the servers are in such a state as to need more admins. reserve slot problem is an issue and the rotation could be different yeah, but more admins wont solve that.
as server admins, fusion and I can only kick ban and gag. we're conduct police. we dont have the power to change maps, and honestly i don't think we SHOULD have that power. variety in the rotation is good, and switching off of a map like pipeline or something to play badlands is going to lead to a situation where we only really play 4 or 5 maps despite having 30 in the rotation. even now, people are like "lol womb change the map lol womb change the map" all the time in chat and PMs.
