Butane has repeatedly been abusive towards me on the server and me specifically. There is no history since I've been playing on the server that Butane has ever warned, gagged, kicked, or banned anyone else for what he calls 'micspamming', which apparently is anything from our trivia minigame to my singing minigame to jokingly calling out the Pyros and calling them noobs and fags and even just trying to have a normal conversation with someone. Lately, as of about three months ago, every time I get on the server he immediately joins and without warning gags me or if he's having a bad day out right kicks me from the server and bans me. This while other players on the server scream into the microphones for minutes at a time, play offensive and often racist soundclips repeatedly, and broadcast songs over voice chat. There is also many other instances of player abuse such as ghosting that go unchecked. When asked about this string of abuse, his response was and I quote "im very very well known on steam as an asshole, i dont care much tho what they think". When asked for contact information for the head admin of the server (he mention it was ibby, but I cannot find who that is or what their contact info is) he said to post about it in this forum, and (once again, quoted), "since you relayed the info to him now, he should have no worries about following the server rules and staying clear of me"

Staying clear of him sounds like a 'clear' warning to me.

This pattern of abuse has been going on for quite some time and while most players on the Prop Hunt server have complained they find Butane abusive, I haven't seen any other threads regarding his abuse. However, I did find these two gems in my search of the forums.

I'm going soft these days, talking about admin abuse and not even a notable mention of me.

Butane admits to being an abusive admin and even said before he was an admin he would actually abuse his position, or at least supposedly so on both counts as I am not aware of the context in these posts nor was I a user of the forums during these time periods (obviously). However, I felt it should be noted.

This has made me consider leaving the best prop hunt server for Team Fortress 2. I no longer feel like I can have fun there anymore as I'm now afraid to even press my PTT key because Butane will probably ban me for a week for saying hello to someone. If no one else will speak up against him, I will.

Yes, I swear, yes I was mad still am pissed about this. THe fact remains that no warning was given after it was stated over vc that he was going joke around with the Pyros and I was the first one he seen. As I am unable to save audio from VC chats I am unable to prove times when Butane has been on the server, under one name or another, when someone has gone on a rant on VC calling me every insult and curse would you can think of for a female, and he warned them to stop before gag/kick/ban.

Yes, Skunk is an outspoken person but when a mod or admin asks him to cool it he does. as a mod on another site he is a member of I can say I have seen this in action. Including in chats.

It's not just the gag. It's the fact that this is not the first time you have just gag/kick/ban Skunk without giving him a warning or telling why. THe only reason he know why is because I asked you an told him. Most other site/servers I go to it is the staff that do that not the other members/players. There was no rant. I said "Since apparently singing gets you kicked and banned by the admins, I'm instead going to just taunt any Pyros that walk by." Then proceed to say "Noob" and "Fag" and "Loser" and other terms in a joking sense. I could see how that could be misconstrued, however I would have stopped had I received a proper warning.

* Prop Hunt Trivia - I would ask trivia questions during the game, usually rewarding the other team for getting the right answer by revealing my location. Usually played with someone on the other team doing trivia as well when they are a prop.
* Prop Hunt Karaoke - I would sing a song as a prop until I'm defeated. I usually do this purposefully and horribly offkey and without knowing all of the words. Most players on the server found it amusing and a good incentive to find my prop, especially if the song was really terrible, e.g. I've sung Nickleback before. Players who don't find it amusing realize others do and usually just mute my microphone in the main menu.
* Trash Talking\Taunting Other Players - Generally I do this to people on the other team in a joking manner. No one ever complains and if anyone does, I'll apologize. It's not my intent to hurt anyone's feelings. Most other players do this as well and have never been called on it.
* General Conversation: I'll be having a conversation with someone not even talking about the game and you'll punish me for it.

The main issues here is that he is giving warnings to some players and not warning others when they are all doing the same thing. Every instance could of been avoided if he would of given everyone the same warning. Either everyone should get a warning or no one should get a warning, not this pick and choose crap. For example I swear and cuss all the time over VC on the PH server and the only time anything was ever said to me by Butane was one time when I was drinking while I was playing. And that was to ask me to cut back on the drinking. Never have I been warned when calling someone a noob or worse. Consistency is the main problem here.

I've been around for a lot longer than a minute. I joined that Prop Hunt server in 2010 and it's the main server I play TF2 on. The only thing that has changed is this Butane guy showing up and abusing his powers as an admin. Only as of late, within the past year, have I even heard of Butane and only within the past six months has he been gagging, kicking, and banning me for "micspamming" simply because he feels like it. Justifying my own "annoying crap" as you put it because other people do it is exactly the point here because he has never punished those people. Dr. Acula gets on the prop hunt server and spams a voice clip from Pulp Fiction on repeat, with Tarrintino's character screaming "DEAD NIGGERS" over and over again. I call my friend a fag and I'm gagged? I tell a joke and I'm kicked? God forbid I sing and I'm banned for twenty four hours, all by Butane, but spamming "DEAD NIGGERS" is TOTALLY allowed? Tough on which rules, again? Oh, the ones that don't exist that say "Skunkrocker is not allowed to be on the Prop Hunt server."

Now, I've been polite about this. Each time this has happened I've just let it go, but I can't anymore. This is ridiculous. I can't even log on to the server anymore without this fear that Butane is going to be there waiting to just gag, kick, and ban me for logging on. I'm not the only one, but I'm the only one with balls to speak up apparently.

The main issue here is despite the rules being in a nice, written form for months now, with me spamming the link every time someone did something stupid there are STILL people that don't get it.
I know I'm ruining his image here, but Butane isn't omniscient. When someone uses the contact admin form or yells at him on steam he knows there's an issue. Otherwise, bitching about how things don't get caught/addressed and at the same time bitching that when he's on the server he actually enforces rules is dumb. And when he's enforcing the rules on the same players who keep breaking the rules - When you've been kicked/gagged/whatever for breaking a rule before a logical response would be to read the rules and attempt not to break them again.
