So, whatever happened with this besides the obvious minor bickering? There were some good ideas and now the server is seeming to have hit a wave where a lot of new players are coming through which means the heavy issue is something that really needs revisited XD

I've been playing at least a couple of years, played with all the guys pretty much in this topic other than the admins here, Map rotation and additions would be awesome, and I think is the only necessary change.

However, a good heavy out to kill on a roof can get real annoying, but it's legit game play, you just suck it up and hide better. Heavies out for credits are fairly rare on a day to day basis anyway, in my experience, most people are playing casually and having fun.

While the annoyances regarding heavies and friendly heavies are there, I don't think the cons are large enough on average to warrant any change. Maybe play with the damage, it's a good idea, but maybe also not worth it.

Only new thing to add, is maybe giving shading options for props, say 3 shades of grey, not 50. With my limited knowledge of games and code, I understand that may be too much a pain in the ass or impossible with the mod.

So, yeah, more maps. I'm happy with the PH server and have continued to play and have fun off and on over the few years on the same map, though, and understand with an older game and mod any changes will take time and is well worth the wait.

digging up an old thread i know, but theres been no change accept better admining of the server, thanks to butanes effort.

Yes, I do agree with this. I've been a regular on the prop hunt server, I'd say I try to play every day. It might have taken quite a bit to become good, it's been about half a year since I started. Playing so much of it, and memorizing all the maps has been starting to get dull. Getting some new maps would make everyone have a reason to come on. I have tried other ph servers and haven't really liked them compared to SourceOP's. I play mostly because I have a bunch of friends who play with me. Taking Cyber out of the rotation would be nice, since most servers don't even have it anymore. Taking the natascha off of the heavy would help a lot, but my opinion would be to remove heavy. I do admit I have a blast of a time a lot but Cyber just clears the server and a lot of newbies can ruin it as well. Scrambling teams should be removed, yes, that too. Also, I really hate the exploits where you can go under or over the map. I don't know how you'd be able to fix that, though. It just ruins the game, my honest opinion.

This is what I think needs to be changed, and everything everyone else said seems agreeable. I want the changes soon Tongue, but of course it will take a while. I can't wait to see this server get better and keep prospering. I'm hopeful for all of this.

I think change and moving forward are notable topics of discussion. I've been on the server for about 2 years now, and I have mixed feelings towards the fact that it is exactly the same today as it was 2 years ago.

I agree with Max. However, I think introducing 3 maps at a time would be nice, as not to create an entirely different atmosphere (many people hate change). I have alternate PH maps that work very well on other servers, if needed. I can put them in my dropbox, and so on and so forth.

However, if we want progress in terms of the server, we should not be ban happy here. We should make sound judgments, and not handle every single case on a separate level. Consistency, fellas. Not banning people for having some fun and not killing. Not banning people for ghosting without proof. This that ETC.

I'm not going to tell you how to do your job.

Just a request from me. PH_Maze A4 (Fairly small map) I find this map fun and addictive to play on. May or may not cause a predicament deciding. Also looking forward to these new maps/rotations! #Sopdabes

Ph Medieval is a definitely a no. Cyberpunk #2. Pretty large map making it easy for props while difficult for the hunters. Also broke part for exploiting. Really wierd
