Also, my party was 1 mage, 1 rouge and one warrior. Had a little difficulty, but then changed to 1 dog and two warriors. What skills/abilities did you choose for your mage? I chose many of the fire/ice/lightning ones. Some spells are pretty useless in my opinion, like heal, as you'll need mana for more offense. I also chose herbalism and poison as my skills; poison isnt really useful as you cant coat your staff with poison but the ice/fire bombs are alright.
I tried mage like three times. Apperantly you have to micro-manage like a motherfucker.
The farthest I got was when I dumped all of my stats into spellpower and just went along nuking the fuck out of everything. (100 spellpower +50% increased fire damage, with my party always having about 40% fire resistance)
I got pissed when I decided to make my golem friend an army of golem friends and he decided he wanted to kill me.
1.use taunt.
2.use forcefield.
3.??????
4.Profit!
cone of cold mixed with this and aoes is absolutely unfair. also google the ranger hotfix it makes rogues less worthless.

The infinite money for rogues makes them not worthless.

are you talking about stealing?
or is there an exploitable bug?
also, snarf, I have seen that forcefield trick posted on biowares forums, but I havent tried it myself with my 2-mage party.. I was curious what the difference in that spell and the one that negates spell damage but doesnt root the target (also from spirit tree)? My understanding is you forcefield the tank so he taunts and doesnt take damage from the aoes you cast...

thats like using divine intervention on the tank so they don't take any damage. Not a good practice, but a nice theory.

yea i really dont bother with forcefielding my tank. I rather use him against the most powerful foe that I cast death hex on. but sleep->nightmare then blood boil is crazy powerful.
Making leli an archer for me is actually quite nice even without the archery fix since I have her summon her bear pet, stack a few poisons on her, activate rapid fire and watch everything get mowed down. the bear pet really is badass. Other benefit is theres the rogue talent that has you use cunning for damage instead of str and leli gets cunning as her friendship skill (One gained by increasing her mood).

Zeitgeist Wrote:are you talking about stealing?TBH you dont even need to cast any aoes. as long as your party does some good dps you just down the lower ranks first and finish off the big one. forcefield lasts so long that you should really only bother aoeing around a forcefield tank if you have no melee dpsers. and rogues without the hotfix are nothing but side dpsers. Ever since i got a hotfix my rogue hits 40-70 backstabs and ranged attacks have gone up to about 300 for an arrow of slaying and 50-80 for an autoshot. the hotfix just makes rogues do what they are supposed to do and makes dexterity actaully do something.(it wasnt doing anything but hit rating for rogues although it should increase attack on piercing weapons) Also poisons dont count for ranged attacks your not making any sense. And 3 caster teams are incredibly cheap i have one xD. cone of cold spam and waking nightmare locks with constant aoes lordy lordy.or is there an exploitable bug?
