My account has been hijacked
#1

This is sad day.

My little brother clicked on a link sent by ony of my friends, and entered in my username and password for my steam account ( I let him know it so he can play some of my games sometimes ) on the site ( I actually went to the site and it wasnt his fault, looks just like steam login page) and now my account has been disabled. Anyone know what I can do?

Ok, I've sent the ticket. Waiting for a reply.

Btw, heres the details on the site:

Looks pretty legit, so be wary. I just hope that my hijacked account doesn't get other peoples account stolen Sad

EDIT: Looks live I've been sending out the same phishing links Sad

You got some bad software running on your comp then. Might want to reformat before getting a new password. Chances are whatever software that is running and sending the links will also just steal your password again next time you enter it anywhere.

Well, if it was a phishing site then it's also possible they just are running the software to send out phishing messages from their side. I'm guessing thats the more likely case as tricking someone to install the app is slightly more difficult than just getting their info.

Either way be safe and do your regular computer maintenance.

Well, I got my account back Big Grin

But it looks like he managed to scam a few people on my friend's list. Sad Hopefully they'll get their accounts back just as fast

Thanks for your help guys Big Grin
