Page one doesn't make it a relevant thread. If no one has responded to it in months, and if your response adds nothing new to the conversation (like in this case "Oh, I made a cool greasemonkey script to do this, here it is" would be a good response) then there's no reason to respond.

This is different than adding something not completely useful in a current thread, as you can drive the direction of the active conversation (or not). With necro'd threads, all the talking has been done and all your response amounts to is "me too", out of the same mindset from Eternal September.

If you have a lot of tabs open in OP you can use the 'Tab Groups' feature in Firefox, I find myself ending up with nearly 300 tabs open at a time, because I keep leaving things open to come back to.
