So, has anyone bought this yet? Impressions?

I have it. Played for an hour or so... was my first DoTA 3rd person shooter game and its not really my preference.
Might try out more, an hour is too short to find out if its anything for one. Gotta get to know the game a bit. But powering up during the game etc was never to my liking.
At least I got clean socks for it. Want to paint them black tho, but cant (yet).
really depends on if you like the game type. Did back in the day DoTA on Warcraft 3. But thats quite different cos of the overview one has.

simple:
2 bases, gotta capture or w/e the other base, taking down their turrets and robots, and their human players. Collect money to buy upgrades underway or enabling stuff like jump pads, or buy turrets and their upgrades.
