Is there a way to mass convert .tga's in Photoshop (or some other program) instead of having to manually convert each one?
I take tons of screenshots but then I'm too lazy to sit there and convert them all.

Rebind f5 to "jpeg" if you don't like the tgas.

cool, how exactly do I do that?
I always thought I could only change the key that takes the screenshot but didn't know I could change the format it saves as.

Indeed not. I don't have a solution. I know there are batch converter tools available. Not sure about which ones are free and good though.

I'm assuming you have photoshop, but if you don't and anyone else out there wants a free alternative, try GIMP. It's an open source photoshop. You would still have to change them one at a time, though.
Sourceforge.net is a great site for open source programs. I've found a lot of file conversion apps there.
This search:

led to this:

I didn't look any further into it, but dig around on sourceforge and see what you find.
You can find windows, mac, and linux-based downloads here.
