I also agree with hell-met when he says it's restricted. Who the hell decided on 6v6 as the "official pro" format? Highlander would probably be more fitting, or you know, regular pub servers.

There is so much prep work because it's competitive. It's like saying professional sports are too difficult to get into. 6v6 was chosen because people like 6v6. highlander still gets tournaments too because people have fun playing it. 9v9 keeps up the fun without making the game rely on nothing but spam which isn't very fun for most people. It's about choice and opinion, most people play comp for fun. As unknown said there is a certain level of satisfaction when everything goes as it should. As far as assholes come, you shouldn't let them bother you real life and the internet have plenty of them.

Stop acting like only comp has assholes, there are assholes everywhere in TF2.

6v6 is used because it is difficult enough getting 12 people together for a match and it's what got played the most so it became the main format, BUT YOU WOULDN'T KNOW THAT.

actually I did know that, doesn't change the fact that it's restrictive and narrows tf2 down to basically half its potential.
