The 1% is bullshit. Once free to play happened valve worked it so the occasional crate opener had early success. If you are a routine opener they already have you.. reason I don't open crates anymore. I have opened well over a 1000 crates and have gotten 2 hats. Cheaper to just buy what u want. With the influx of new players going batshit on halloween and xmas along with the pay to play old heads the market for unusuals would have dropped big time if that 1% was in play. I am telling you that it isn't anymore.

Yowza. My total of ~40 crates with one crappy unusual (Logo Ushanka) ages ago are starting to look pretty much painless after reading this thread. Still, I believe im slightly addicted to opening them crates. No flame here, pure sympathy.

I went 0-20. I had 4 keys left and decided that id have better luck trading up. 2 years later im at 9 unusuals with 9 different effects. I make my own luck nowadays.
