Help Please
#1

Ok, 1. Im not a spam bot lol.

I managed to fix the huge issue that i had, phew.

Now though, i would like to install SourceOP to my Server. I am sorta a noob when it comes to this sort of stuff, i can get instant respawn by hex editing the map but i just cant get this onto my Server lol.

Its Linux and its a dedicated Server that i access via FTP. I would really appreciate total 1000% NOOB instructions for how to get this onto my Server including how to configure admins and what not.

I am currently running mani_admin which i will remove if they clash as this looks better.

Will this allow me to change the maxplayers to 32 without us going into the Costom Tab? If so, what are the risks of being removed/ip banned?

If you think i am going to have trouble installing this and would like to talk to me were we can communicate better then add me, again, on one of the following:

MSN - davida500@hotmail.co.uk
AIM - ComputerMaxD
Xfire - davida50000
Steam - davida50

And i feel rejected for being called a bot Wink jkjk

Thank you Smile

Download this version

SourceOP Linux Manual Install

Then extract the folders to the proper places on your server.

Then execute the tutorial, i think you just say tutorial in chat and it will guide you through making yourself admin.

To add more admin's download the SourceOP DF_admins.txt Helper.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Your going to have to download a player limit remover from the download section. Here's a link http://www.sourceop.com/modules.php?name...load&cid=4

Now that i look at it, i think you type admintut to make your self admin, it should say somewhere in the download tho. :?

I still cant get it to work but i actually just think maybe i need to restart the Server or maybe i forgot to add something, i will try again and get back to you.

Well the bin folder. There are 2 bin folders, one in ../ and one in tf

I added it to both so that should be ok lol.

Also the VDF file that i put in addons i feel may be wrong.

metamod.vdf in there and this is what it says inside there:

"Plugin"
{
"file" "../tf/addons/metamod/bin/server_i486.so"
}

This works, for the sourceop.vdf

it says this:

"Plugin"
{
"file" "sourceop"
}

So will this actually work, or do i need to change it ?

Thank you.

The released version of SourceOP does not currently work with TF2.

Now you tell me lol Tongue

Well there is something on your TF2 Servers that allow you to have 33 player slots.

Are you running in the internet tab? If so please tell me what to do lol.

I would really appreciate the help!

Thank you Smile

Sorry, I was gone all weekend and just now saw this thread.

My TF2 servers run my own special version of SourceOP. This version will be released sometime in the future, but a date is not set. I am on the Internet tab and that will not be something that I release as part of the public version of SourceOP.

Well, your 24/7 2Fort Server is no.1 on Gametracker. So you must have been on there for some time.

I was wondering the risks that are involved with the "sv_tags" thing, because i would really not like to be ip banned or delisted lol.
